waitpinga beach

A real hidden gem as the other reviewer has said. 15km west of Victor Harbor and three km down a sealed road, Waitpinga Beach is absolutely stunning. There is a very very small car park area and then some steps down to the beach.Miles of soft golden sand and some very impressive waves. Popular in the morning and evening with local fishermen. We visited one evening to let the teenage boys fish whilst the rest of us, two adults and three kids aged 9, 12 and 14, enjoyed fish and chips, cricket and touch rugby with nobody around. It's not recommended for swimming and only for experienced surfers due to the rips and gullies that run the length of the beach and the powerful waves.Certainly worth visiting as its stunning, quiet and beautiful sunsets.

It took my breath away!You can fish, surf (experienced surfers only), or just relax and watch the sun set. Beautiful experience.
