a fantastic place to see and rediscover the history of the gold mill..lovely scenic view as well. Kids can have a dip in the nice clear water thats running through the ruins. Its take a good hour and a half walk to go around the ruins...perfect for a good exercise for the familly to do.

We had lovely day off and headed to see Adelong mill ruins. Views were really cool and we got some nice pictures by the river.

It is a bit of a walk to the ruins but very interesting with the ruins of the mill and buildings. I took some lovely photos of the water flowing gently down stream over the rocks. And the panorama was beautiful

We visited the mine mill ruins on a very cold July day. As there had been recent heavy rain the river was flowing strongly. As we had a baby in a pusher we did not risk crossing the footpath across to the ruins. The view from the opposite bank however was still quite spectacular and given the opportunity we would definitely cross over for a close look at the ruins. The site has plenty of information boards showing how the mill operated. There is ample parking and toilets are located in the car park. The local museum in the town is also worth a look.

Several walks available here where you can walk down into the canyon and explore the ruins. Kids will love climbing over everything and exploring the nooks and crannies. Public toilets located at the car park at the top of the hill. Great heritage experience. On improvement that would be good is more heritage information around the ruins with photos showing what life was like back then.

The restoration and preservation has been done very well. It was totally overgrown and almost inaccessible 25 years ago. Easy access and plenty of historical information at hand. Take a walk and learn a lot.

Very scenic, with the falls and mill ruins in the background. Great spot for a swim in late spring/summer. Stairs to the river level might be a bit challenging if you have knee or leg issues, but you can take the longer way around if you are up for the walk and the slope is ok. Amazing job on the restoration when compared to old photos. Worth the pretty drive from the Hume (could then do a loop back via Tumut, or head on up to the snowys depending on the objective.). We explored and took photos - so we were there around 2hrs.

A short walk from the car park, plenty of ruins of gold diggings, stamping batteries, water sluices - all there. The hills nearby show mine openings - my 3G grandfather dug there in the 1860s!

Whether you do the cultural walk starting at the Adelong Alive Museum, or drive to the Adelong Falls, it is worth a visit. Alot of recent restoration work has been done at the site, and the landscape and Adelong Creek are beautiful.
