We visited The Riyal for a family occasion. For an area not known for it's great food choices The Royal Hotel was a pleasant surprise. The decor had a 'urban edginess'. Lots of different areas to sit. Lounge areas, low tables and stools and a lovely courtyard. One decor tip for the outside area which was really interesting would be some more greenery to soften the urban 'steampunk' design! The food choices were great and the pizza, pork belly and prawn spring rolls were absolutely delicious. If you're in the area and looking for a good spot for a drink and a comfortable place to relax I would recommend The Royal Hotel. The staff were really efficient, friendly and obliging.

A very comfy, friendly place with excellent cocktails. Outdoor seating nicely done, atmosphere lovely, staff very obliging.We didn't have dinner here as we had booked somewhere else but the food coming out looked good too!

We had dinner at the Royal hotel while visiting canberra/queanbeyan area. Food was good and we found the atmosphere quite nice on the night we were out. Service was great.
