As a former resident of the Entrance/Long Jetty, I found this a wonderful trip dowmn memory lane.The walk is picturesque and I'm pleased it gets a daily work out form locals and visitors.Brought back fond memories of Yesteryear.I think all towns whether coastal or inland have a picturesque tale of the past that would be enjoyed by townsfolk and travellers alike.Well Done Council - shame the mouth of the lake is not dredged open to improve the system though!

This is a fantastic way to spend a day and certainly add up those steps for all the fitbit fanatics like myself out there. There is so much to learn about the history of this beautiful part of the world. It is interesting and educational, great for adults and older kids. I don't think little kids would like it but I'm sure they would love the parks and pelican feeding along the walk.

Love walking along the lake to the ocean and reading and seeing the old photos of days gone by!! Makes you appreciate just how beautiful our Tuggerah Lake and oceans are :)

The walk is easy, and you can always do it at your own pace. Disabled people would certainly be able to do this as well! The views are stunning and there are markets on the weekends (depending on the weather). Every day at 3:30pm is the pelican feeding and this is a MUST! The volunteers also check the pelicans for injuries when they come for the food. Whilst I was there, one of the volunteers actually walked along a sandbank in the water to rescue a baby pelican (another volunteer said it was approx 1 year old) that had fishing line wrapped around his legs and he was stuck.

The Entrance has improved making the most of the scenery...some of the best sunsets in the world across the lake ...the natural is highlighted as you discover the past ...well worth the effort

Excellent walk for a morning stroll, we walked from Long Jetty around the foreshore to The Entrance Surf Club and back, had lunch in one of the many eatery's then ambled back to our motel in Long Jetty.

The coast to lake walk is approximately 7.5km and takes you along The Entrance beach, through some residential areas and out to the lake's edge and back around to the sea. It's an easy walk with plenty of natural beauty to keep you occupied. Very enjoyable Sunday stroll.

Every day at 3.30pm the pelicans come to be fed at The Pelican Pavilion on the foreshore, the fish is provided by Jimbo's Quality Seafood. The volunteers check the pelicans for injuries mainly caused by fishing hooks, whilst we were there a pelican had a hook removed from its wing. Lovely to see so many pelicans, well worth a visit if you are in the area at feeding time.

This walk took longer than we thought. But it is a good walk, even if you are not that fit, it is mostly flat so you can take it easy. This walk takes in the original long jetty of Long Jetty fame, which is ricketty in places but also has newer sections where wood has been replaced. You'll see marshlands on the East, beaches on the West side. Unfortunately near the marshlands there was a stink of sewerage. The only downside there.

The kids took their bikes on this walk today (only about 20-30min of the walk) but they loved it. We would love to do the 3hr walk one day but just biking and walking along the water and into town was great! It was a nice, relaxing day!

We come to The Entrance often, and the walk along the Boardwalk is my favourite thing to do. The view the entire way are amazing, from the ocean to The Entrance then the lake. If you do it nearing sunset, it's just beautiful, with sun setting behind the hills beyond the lake. Kids will also enjoy it, and will love all the Pelicans about.
