Never been into old things but Chrystie's Museum made me think of the way life used to be and how far we have come in such a short time. It gave me a stronger respect for history.

If you want a walk in the past, visit Chrysties. Vehicles of all kinds, including caravans, ones that date back to before you were born, implements, magazines, books, crockery, trinkets etc. It is a wonderful experience and the entrance fee is less than $8.00 and less for Seniors. This is a private museum run by a former tree-lopping business owner, now in retirement. Their warmth and welcome added value to our visit. The road is rather bad, and driving should be at about 40 kph. It is more risky in rainy weather. We were fortunate that we saw a troupe of about 8 kangaroos on the way there, on the opposite side of the road. They posed for our camera, and left once we returned to our vehicle. Quite an amazing overall experience.

If Staying in Tocumwal head out to Chrysties Transport museum to view a historical collection of trucks, cars, caravans from the 40s and 50sand 60s as well as a great collection of transport and folk memorabilia. The owner has obviously worked in the timber industry and has made a lifes work a passion. He seems very willing to share knowledge of cars and trucks with visitors.Well worth the short drive out near the airport
