Coffee is good at the cafe and food looked good too. Interesting exhibition with history of Italians migrating to Australia. The gift shop is intriguing with imports from Italy and to top it off, there's a glass blowing workshop reminiscent of Murano.

This isn't your average roadside rest stop area. About 10 minutes south of Woodburn (or about 20 mins north of Harwood / Yamba turnoff), this is a monument to early Italian settlers who came to northern NSW. There's a cafe, Tastes of New Italy Caffe (see elsewhere in Tripadvisor), a gift shop, a museum. There's also a glass art shop, with the glass blower working most days. All very interesting, lots of local family history and photos - a labour of love for the families involved. Plenty of parking, nice spot amongst the trees. Stop here for a break, have a snack and spend some time, up to an hour, reading through the history.
