Two years ago, we visited Tait's with my young daughter who was too young to ride, but who was given a wonderful hour getting up close to her favourite animals before they set off on a ride. Now well and truly hooked on horses, we returned for a ride at Wongabel at last, and were not disappointed. Finding old equine friends was wonderful, and the shabby old yards and sheds were just as picturesque and authentic as before. A great ride up out of the valley may be a little hair-raising for beginners, but the horses are well trained and experienced and well led. Beautiful views, abundant bird life, and even a tree kangaroo bounding away. We'll be back for the overnight rides in a few years!

Beautiful setting, wonderful people, knowledgeable and experienced, this is a real deal equine experience not a flimsy tourist operation. Make sure you check out the Ferro cement tree building whilst you are there.

It's not for tourists looking for a pony ride, this is the real deal, a family concern with a passion for horses and the bush. You need to be a rider to go out on these trips, and our daughter was too young, but the little treat she got was, in her own words, just about the most wonderful thing she had ever done, and something for which we will always be grateful. When she can ride, we'll be back. Thank you so much.
