We found this to be a great place for the kids to learn. Friendly and knowledgeable staff who were very happy to take the time to explain, lots of exhibits, must have taken such a long time to collect this extensive museum. So glad the visitor centre recommended to stop here.

We were lucky enough to view this museum during a special night opening. There was so much to see and read that we went back again the next morning. This really is great. You can get up close and touch some exhibits.

This is a brilliant place to visit. It's packed full of artefacts, personal stories and photographs. The staff (and volunteers) are really friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent value for money, we paid less than six dollars for all three museums. We loved Maryborough, the town is delightful, don't miss it.

This Museum has so much to see that is both interesting and factual that you will need more than half a day to look at all levels. In every corner there is a new story and as you climb the stairs and look around the next doorway it becomes clear why this is a must see when in Maryborough. Even if you are not usually a Museum type person this one will surprise you.

We went with friends one of which was a vietnam vet. Ther is an amazing amount of history & memorabilia. Allow time to see & read this museum. Hopefully we may learn from the futility of war.

This interesting museum is demanding; you cannot grasp it in one visit, or you may have to stay there for hours. Extremely interesting. What impresses me the most, is the enormous knowledge and work of the leaders to collect the most various items. Don't miss it.

The museum is full to the brim with loads of military memorabilia. Need to make sure you leave plenty of time to walk through the whole museum as there is so much to see.

Of the three museums, this is by far the best and most interesting. The custodian was knowledgeable, and friendly, but, alas, we did not see more than a small fraction of the displays because of time constraints. I would suggest a minimum of an hour is needed. The displays relating to the military honours of the local heroes was really interesting. The information regarding the Worcester Regiment was worth more time than we could give it. We shall call back, hopefully, in a couple of years.

Definitely worth going too. Very knowledgeable staff and very friendly. We were lucky to be given a little tour of interesting facts due to our late arrival. Lots of amazing history to view. I really enjoyed it and I'm a chic.

The Maryborough Military Museum would be one of the best I have ever been to. The vollunteers were very knowledgable and friendly. I was impressed by the displays and the amount of memorabilia that the museum contained. The museum looks small but there is 3 levels. There was lots of information and photos honoring soldiers that had passed away. Well worth the time to look through.

I attended the Maryborough Military Museum on the day of the Mary Poppins Festival 2014.I was very impressed by the number and variety of exhibits including chocolates provided to Boer War soldiers by Queen Victoria, a Furphys Farm Water Cart (where the term Furphy was created) and copies of numerous VCs presented to Australian soldiers. The supporting information was detailed and interesting.Gold coin donation. Highly recommended.

Upon entering this museum I was absolutely surprised at the quality and the attention to detail of the exhibits. Testament to the Museum director and his staff and volunteers who care for this place. They deserve a huge pat on the back. This museum is one of the gems in Maryborough and a quality place to spend a couple of hours while exploring the Historic Portside area.
