Whilst I appreciate work has to be carried out to maintain this stunning scenic walk, it was very disappointing to walk all the way to a gate which blocks the path. There were signs at the beginning of the walk advising of the works, but implying that the walk was still fully open . Had we known that we couldn't walk right through, we may have saved our legs. More signage to advise that the walk IS closed part way along and where the entrance to the other section may be useful to other visitors.

The view was awesome, we had to do one side, go back and go over to the other side the long way as the path was under repair.

Easy walking, and very enjoyable, were able to find some shade along the way plus we got to see several turtles and rays in the water near the gorge entry...

A beautiful walk, sometimes the colours in the waters take my breathe away!It is a wonderful place to spend some quiet moments and maybe see the dolphins or even whales in season.Turtles are about too. Highly recommend doing combining this walk with an aboriginal culture tour with Quandamooka man, Matthew Burns.

Whether you just sit with a coffee and soak up the view, or actively seek out views of the varied marine life passing by, this is a must do when visiting Stradbroke. Certainly not strenuous and there are great eateries only minutes away. I could get used to this as a view every day !

There is so much to see on Straddie. The walk is not to be missed. Easy walking and so relaxing. As a local at Redland Bay, we quite often just catch the Flyer over for lunch and a lovely walk.Beautiful place right on our doorstep.

This walk is a must when visiting Straddie, gorgeous views and you can see various marine life as well. Great that the walkway has been upgraded and they are continuing to do so with non slip surface and sturdy handrails. Excellent for prams and walkers. Beautiful blow hole as well. You never tire of the view!!!

The gorge walk is a must for anyone visiting Point lookout. There are a few stairs to negotiate so I would say you have to have a normal level of physical fitness. That being said there a plenty of rest areas along the way. We do it every day when staying at Point Lookout. There is always something new to see every time. A gelato at the local shop at the end of the walk makes for a refreshing treat for an always awe inspiring walk.

It is quit a short walk - little ups and downs but easy to do. We did it several times. Watch carefully - you will see turtles and dolphins in the waves. We did a morning walk at about 7.30 which was awesome. Afterwards we had a picnic at the main beach which was beautiful - big waves, just a few people - real nature!

It's beautiful with seats to sit and admire the view. It has boardwalks to walk on easily and safely, with some steps so if you have a pram, keep this in mind.

Great little walk with good sturdy boardwalks! When we looked down, we could see the manta rays swimming in the clear waters underneath us!

A great walk to take for all levels of fitness/ age. It is not strenuous and you can go at your own pace. Its has breathtaking views of the pacific and of areas of the island. You are bound to see a pod of dolphins, sea turtles and is a hot spot for keen whale watchers when the season is right. Start your walk with a cafe breeky at one of the cafes or finish it with a coffee or even a swim at main beach. I have done this walk countless times on visiting the island and every time i see something new and it takes my breath away. Any day of the week, any time of the year. Its a MUST do when you visit straddie. Locals and tourists alike frequent here ( if the locals go daily you knows its something amazing)
