We had the pleasure of joining Olivia and her father Bruce at the Bandana Sunsets Activity whilst in the Carnarvon area. We had a great time - and despite my husband and I living on a cattle property and close to the area, we learnt new things about the history of the area, and the unique operation Bandana conducts with its cattle and farming. A cold glass of white wine, looking over the sunset lit cliffs was just breathtaking.

What a fantastic way to end our holiday. Olivia and Bruce were welcoming, friendly hosts. They shared their stories and experiences with great enthusiasm. Attention to detail not only to the food and drinks, but warm blankets as well! And a perfect sunset to finish the day. Highly recommended!

Enjoy a magnificent sunset looking over the Carnarvon escarpment whilst enjoying a wine and nibbles with an outstanding commentary of the history of this special part of Australia, extra special if Bruce the balladeer is playing on the night. Take your camera. Not to be missed! Highly recommended for overseas visitors as well.Outstanding!

we had the pleasure of meeting Olivia and Bruce earlier this year and what a wonderful experience it was. Bruce with his guitar and his obvious love of our land and Olivia with her love of family and the land. We spent a great evening listening to stories of the local area and wonderful music from Bruce.Thank you, we will definitely be back.Gayle and Graeme Scott

Thank you so much for your feedback and giving us a 5 star rating. We apologise that we missed you in getting a 2nd glass of wine as this is part of the normal package. You are quite right, it just tops off the evening as the sun disappears.

This is a beautiful addition to a Carnarvon Gorge holiday. Stunning scenery, great entertainment and hospitality. What a beautiful location for a farm and a great way to share it. Highly recommended.

We were very fortunate to have experienced the last Sunset Tour of Bandana Station for this season. Many thanks to Olivia and Bruce for a wonderful evening. It was very clear that both have their hearts and souls in what they are presenting at Bandana. Olivia's story of her family's heritage. Her poem was straight from the heart.Bruce has clearly done a wonderful job as a father. His original song tells a story that all Australians can be proud of. I would recommend that if you are visiting Carnarvon Gorge put this at the top of your list. The view from the ridge looking back to the station homestead oozes history and beauty. We have been travelling since April 2014 throughout Queensland. This was genuinely a highlight for my wife Anne Maree and myself.

What a beautiful place Bandana Station is! To sit and look over the homestead and Gorge, having some good wine & cheese, and listen to yarns about life on a cattle property, some history about cattle duffing...and a little song thrown in! There were a lot of us in the one group staying at Canarvon (and even more kids!!) and everyone was impressed with our couple of hours chatting, laughing and having a great time.

Sitting around a camp fire listening to a passionate local and his daughter, with a drink and snacks, watching the day end over 42000 acres. I dont know what beats this ? A must do if you make it to the magnificent Carnarvon Gorge.

Sitting back, talking, listening to the history of the area, being drawn into the passion of owning and working the land, sipping some wine, eating damper and billy tea. All of this while talking to great people and watching the colouring of the rocks as the sun slowly sets on this magical backdrop. I didn'tTo want to leave. Your time here is unique and well worth the experience.

Olivia and her father are doing 2-3 hour Sunset trips at their cattle station next door to Carnarvon Gorge National Park. They provide some wine and nibbles to enjoy while Olivia gives some history of the property and what life is currently like for her, her husband and 2 young children. Her father gives great history of the cattle duffing/bushrangers plus sings a drover's ballad. One is able to enjoy the sunset view as this is happening - a very pleasant evening with a new understanding of "life in the bush" in 2014.

This is a must as part of your trip to Carnarvon Gorge National Park! Olivia and Bruce tell a great story of the region and the life on their cattle station. The scenery is amazing and you can sit back and soak it up.

What an amazing experience. We have travelled extensively throughout Australia and have not been introduced to a piece of living history with such warm welcoming people as Olivia and Bruce. A must do for any Aussie. A real life Outdoor Spectacular.

Bandana Station Sunsets is a great opportunity for city cousins to hear about life on a cattle station from Olivier Evans and as well hear about the cattle duffing (stealing) history of the area from her father Bruce Mayne who is an excellent story teller and song writer who also entertains with a song whilst visitors enjoy the setting of the sun on the sandstone cliffs near Carnarvon Gorge. Wine and nibbles are included.

While enjoying wine and cheese we were enlightened on the history and workings of Bandana Station by Olivia Evans a very vibrant, energetic and friendly young station owner. Olivia's dad, Bruce, a great storyteller, told us the history of cattle duffers and bush rangers in the Carnarvon area. The evening was great value for the $30 pp. the station is just a 10 minute drive from Takarakka Bush Resort in Carnarvon National Park.
