We went there as a group. We were able to witness how they make wine. Wine tasting session was informative, relaxed and we all enjoyed. I like the Verdelho most.

A few years ago when James Halliday gave this winery 5 stars it was justified as the quality in wines lifted dramatically with Paola Cabezas Rhymer's skills. However, for the last two years the quality in the wines has faded away and threatens their reputation. The varietal expression is no longer as clear as it was in the past; it seems to have been replaced with a homologous spin that may suit some. The choice to grow Pinot Noir in warm climate speaks volumes; in the 2012 Qld Wine Show their Pinot Noir came last, with 79 points; see this document: http://www.rna.org.au/media/504451To be fair, Summit Estate's Spanish oriented wines are of high quality and deserve 5 stars, but, the cheaper wines are questionable, or perhaps they're good for tourism? You be the judge.

What a great welcome we received. The very passionate and information lady made sure the kids had entertainment whilst those of our group of 13 tried the great variety wines. Thank you for taking the time to share you story with us we had a great time & The Cava was sensational.

Went here with the family, and enjoyed in thoroughly! Great wine, coffee and company. From the winery the grapes looked so picturesque! Would definitely take some other friends back there soon.

The afternoon was getting on a number of wineries were closed and we wondered about going. We could'nt have found more passionate folk, generous with the tastings and treated us like long lost friends. Met Paola (from Spain) the only 'qualified' woman wine maker in the Granite Belt.If these guys were in the Barossa Valley their wines would be at least another $10 a bottle. Definitely one of Australia's best kept wine secrets. I didn't believe what I was tasting was being made in the Granite Belt. Exceptional wine and exceptional people.
