Really enjoyable afternoon exploring the historic town of Mt Morgan and the gold mine. The tour guides were friendly and knowledgable and the dinosaur footprints in the caves were well worth seeing. I took my teenage kids and they had a blast.

An awesome drive up the range from Rocky on the Burnett Hwy.Stopped at the Railway Station=Tourist Centre where we were cordially received by an older man who narrated us very enthusiastic the whole story about Mount Morgan and its big man dug whole!A very nice rest area at the Dam and beautiful lookouts!

a short drive from Rockhampton Mount Morgan is well worth a half-day trip. I didn't do the mine tour but there was still lots to look at - dam, drive around the mine, suspension bridge are fun for the kids

The mine has great historical significance. Once the richest gold mine in the southern hemisphere, paid Australia's national debt many years ago and help finance Australia's contribution to world war 1. Went to the mine in a bus, bus driver very knowledgeable and friendly. Dinasour caves were shut when we went on the tour but have now been reopened. Well worth a trip.

Enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide in a small bus. Recommend it and gave a meal at one of the pubs. Support our rural tours.

Only way to see the mine is by the TMC Tour, but it's such a great way to do it, as the tour guide and her father (driver) were a wealth of knowledge on the mine and the whole Mount Morgan area. There wasn't a question they could not answer, and the information they imparted was excellent. The displays in the main office building were great, too. Yes! Could be a little boring for children, but certainly a great lesson in past history for them.

Very interesting indeed. Loved the visit to the main officers and all the equipment used years ago. We did the bus tour and the guide was very good. Also go and see the museum, excellent, we have taken visitors from the UK heaps of times. Take sunscreen and a hat and plenty of water, it can be a long hot tour.

We had a very good enjoyable tour, the guide was good and it was interesting seeing the history of the town and disturbing to see the terrible impact mining has had on the environment

The guide was really good to us, even though we were the only ones on his tour. Mt Morgan mine is not in operation anymore, but it was an insight to learn about the town.

Enjoyed our tour and the history of the mine. Due to safety issues we were unable to see the dinosaur footprints. The old admin building had some great displays. Very interesting town with some great attractions, the museum and the rail museum are def worth a look as well and don't forget to buy a pie from the bakery, mmmmmmmm!

The tour takes a couple of hours and takes in the mining experience of the old town. Mount Morgan is reliant on tourism these days and is well worth a visit. The tour guide and her Dad (the driver) are a fountain of knowledge of the place and only want to be asked to fill you in with the history of mount Morgan.

Not a bad tour around the area and old gold mine. Ashame more money can't go into preserving the wonderful old buildings. Worth a visit for half a day!
