The Yeddonba Aboriginal Art Site is situated at the foot of Mount Pilot and is well laid out in a circular walk taking about 1 hour at very slow pace. There are interpretive signs to guide you along the walk taking in caves, spectacular views, food sources and giving a basic understanding of some of the local aboriginal traditions. The images of a Tasmanian tiger, a goanna and a snake represent totem spirits of the Duduroa thought to be around 2000 years old. The paintings were made with iron-rich ochre paint but have faded as the ochre has worn away leaving just a red stain.Unfortunately the images cannot be repainted as there are no known descendants of the Duduroa alive today.
