first visit after living no more than five kilometres away for 15 years, cannot believe we haven't been there before now. A great park for a picnic, swimming, biking, sailing, kayaking and walking. Great place for get togethers.

We decided to go here for a picnic with friends. It was busy and parking was difficult but in saying that it was a fantastic day. We had plenty of space to enjoy the sun and the shade. The atmosphere was beautiful and the facilities were clean. Great place for a picnic or Bbq and lovely area to walk or ride in. Great day.

Great to take the family down to Lysterfield on a hot day for a swim or bbq. You can also walk the different tracks and see lots of wildlife or even take your bikes.

The cafe had no hot food on a tue at lunch time and was run by a bunch of teenage boys who probably had no food handling certificates ... It's just a bike shop for a quick cold drink for the keen bike riders to drop in and maybe get repairs for their bikes

Lysterfield is a nature lovers paradise. It is a clever mixture of unspoilt nature with beautiful wild birds, kangaroos and wallabies but nice BBQ family areas too. There are cycle tracks, water sport activities or walking paths which are all well sign posted and maintained. A real gem !

It's lovely. Lots of trees. It's one of the best parks in the areas. Set in the natural settings. Certain parts of the day you can find kangaroos hanging around

I came to have a mountain biking session at Trail Mix and had a ball. Huge park, beautiful, lots for people to do - walkers, hikers, bikers, etc. As a bonus, we had spectacular weather too. The Trail Mix cafe was a bit lax for service, we were a big group who wanted some quick coffees so we could go riding but otherwise good. Really nice (for outdoor) toilets and showers in the park too

This is a beautiful serene place we come to often for picnics and walks. Views are amazing and the lake beautiful to look at while having a barbecue picnic. The facilities are plentiful and always clean. You can walk around the lake or through the bushland and the wildlife is plentiful including kangaroos and birdlife. Our secret is now out.

We walk the lake circuit once a week and love the natural atmosphere. People actually say Hi and it is fantastic for a relaxing time as well with the family. Great time to chill out and stroll the walking tracks or ride your mountain bike.

11th OCT 2014As downhill bike trial enthusiasts we had been told by friends who share the passion to try out what Lysterfield has to offer with an amazing little cafe and bike hire.Unfortunately upon arrive found my bike was unable to be ridden. No worries lets hire a bike and not make the huge 2.5 hour trip out to Narre Warren complete waste. After dealing with consistent problems with trying to gear down and having the chain coming off the hire bike we finally arrive at the top of our chosen tracks, the tire goes flat. After an hour a friend returned from the going back to the bike shop to get what was needed to fix the bike so we could continue. Only he returns with just a tube an nothing else because the bike shop told us they "wont" just straight up wont lend a hand pump to us and also said "Hopefully somebody rides past cant you just ask them?"We gave up, walking down our track and not passing a single bike rider let! let alone someone happening to be carrying a hand pump on them?!We return to cafe/bike hire to explain our story and what has happened and that we are deeply dissatisfied. I was then hand-balled from every staff member working until i spoke to who was in charge after another 45 minutes to be told "That's life, deal with it. $40 please"I am extremely unhappy with the lack of customer service, organization, care and just general respect.poor effort!

I've been coming here since i was a kid. I now bring my own kids here and they love it just as much as I do. Lovely spot to have a bbq (provided) or picnic with the family. Has become alot busier over the past 10 years. Bring a dingy or paddle board and cross the lake. The water is always perfect. Fun filled day we spend most our summer there. Lots of shade and animals roam freely.

It's hard to believe that only only metres from large residential areas, there is a park that abounds in free ranging Australian native animals that appear only too happy to share their home with you. The Lysterfield Park and the adjoining Churchill National Park sit in an area just east of the Wellington Road/Stud Road intersection, with access via Churchill Park Drive. The park is a delight for walkers (also for cyclists on a designated course), has free entry and would be great for children looking to see some kangaroos in the wild. You don't have to take one of the longer walks to the 'trig' or high point - about a 45 minute walk, but you need to walk into the park a bit to see the best of the Roos, but you will need to go in a way as the 'mobs' roam the higher areas.
