A group of us (10) ventured out berry picking on a hot summers day in Melbourne a few weeks ago! Should have guessed picnic spots near the dams would be closed !! After a makeshift picnic in the shade of a carpark some where and the temperature 38 c something better was needed. Driving around we stumbled on this place. Great tea rooms with iced coffee and the like plus nice finger food. Suitably large enough to accommodate us plus a family to two with kids who were already there and COOL.Menu looked tempting.and had variety. Of course the products and plants and a well laid out garden are there as well

We went to the farm on 30 Oct and we were told by the staff that we were 2 weeks early for the lavender season. There was only 1 row of lavender in the field but I think it would have been a lovely sight in the right time. We sat outdoor and had lavender tea and butter cookies at the lavender cottage. They were delicious and soothing. There were no other guests when we were went and we spent a lovely, quiet afternoon relaxing. The staff was very friendly too. We bought essential oil, honey and a pillow filled with lavender. Even though the lavenders were not in full bloom, we think that it's a nice place to spend a quiet afternoon. Plenty of outdoor seats. The rose plants outside the shed smell really good too.

We went with a group of folks to see his farm. He was very rude and not customer friendly. He needs to stop this business and sit at home. Don't open a business if you cannot behave well with your customers. It's a No Go place, Google other lavender farms.

Took my mother in-law to the Lavender farm, which really isn't much to see as it is all cut back (don't recommend visiting in September if your looking to see fresh lavender), 2 small fields. so we decided we would have something to eat in the café what a mistake!!!!! we ordered 2 scones and tea plus one toasted sandwich and soft drink at 1.20pm we eventually received the drinks at 1:50pm the lady apologised saying it very busy. I counted 14 customer and 3 staff serving??? anyway after waiting another 10 mins I went to the counter and asked for the scones which eventually appeared at 2:06.I have worked in catering for 20 years and it was clear to see one staff didn't know what the other was doing and its a shame cause both the tea and the scones was very very good, just need someone with a catering background to manage the café. I would definitely go back if this was sorted.

We decided to come here as we love lavender, and had seen a lot of lavender plants flowering in the city - we presumed it was the time of the year when lavender was flowering. How wrong we were. It seems September is not a good time of year to visit a lavender farm. There was one row of lavender in flower, the rest was all cut back. But even so, it was quite a small patch of lavender plants.It was drizzling so we had lavender tea and lavender scones in the cafe. The lady did not offer us the different sorts of jams with our scones (as we heard her offer other customers) which was disappointing. The lavender tea does not taste anything like lavender (just peppermint tea, really). The scones were nice though.The shop stocks some nice products but they are quite expensive.There is a shed nearby that has things made of wood which you can look at. It is a gold coin entry fee.Overall, I don't think I can recommend this place as somewhere to go out of your way to visit. Perhaps it is better when the lavender is in full bloom, but from what we have seen I wouldn't return.

Visited the farm on a wet and bleak day and this added some warmth to the day. The cafe served some great winter food beef pie for me and vegetable soup for my other half. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Grounds are magnificent despite no blooms at this time. Will definitely return.

Quit disappointed not to see the sea of purple on our visit. However the lady manning the shop is very friendly and we love the medicated muscle rub we purchased. Smells and works great.

My wife and I found this place by accident, but it is well worth the visit. The homemade food cooked on site by the lovely chef was a treat! She was a little busy when we arrived, but we were instantly greeted and made to feel welcome. The service was excellent, the food was homey and delicious however the gift shop products were a little overpriced. We will certainly be back for the food!

We stopped in on a rainy Sunday drive in the country. I was looking for a little tea house and followed the signs to this little Lavender farm off the main rd. As it is winter most of the lavender was hiding but we were still hit by the smell when we stepped out of the car.We didn't walk around the gardens because of the rain, but the cafe and giftshop was open and inviting. I ordered Tea and Lavender Scones which had just the right amount of lavender to give you a taste without feeling like you were eating a plant! The tea was great and exactly the pick me up I needed to drive back into the city.They had some home made products and gifts in the shop but honestly they were all a bit overpriced to take my fancy. ($80 for a soft toy?!) I accidentally waltzed into the drying shed thinking that it was something the public could view as there weren't any staff only signs, but i wasn't well received and quickly backed out.On the quality of the tea and scones I would certainly return, maybe timed next time for when the lavender is in full bloom, I imagine it would be quite a sight!

Excellent service & a delight to visit. Food was delicious and everything smelt wonderful.If you don't like lavender at all don't bother because it really is everywhere.

The Warratina Lavender Farm is a great place to stop for tea. The lavender scones are amazing and the raspberry jam they serve with it is divine. I don't know about the food because we didn't try anything else but I would certainly go back again just for scones and tea. Service was very pleasant and efficient.

we went on for lunch and a lovely day with my partner. Lunch was freshly made and so were the lavender scones which were definitely the highlight, very interesting taste. the shop provided all sorts of lavender made products and it was great to appreciate the variety.

I took my Mum here for lunch on a Sunday. We travelled from the South East suburbs of Melbourne, through the hills on a beautiful sunny day.The farm was amazing, smelling great and beautifully presented.We both had salmon quiche with salad and a coffee.The two ladies working in the cafe were very friendly and helpful.We will definitely be returning for a visit.

We drove from Melbourne, took us an hour in beautiful hillside settings. We paid AUS 6 / pax for a very interesting tour with the owner of the farm who started this farm out of her interest and soon developed into a well known attraction in Yarra Valley. There is a café selling tasty snacks made out of the Lavender she grown and a shop selling almost everything linking with Lavender. Overall, we really love the beautiful Lavender fields.

I had chicken n corn soup with a piece of crusty herb bread, lots of chicken, delicious. We shared a fluffy homemade raspberry jam pavlova roll & wonderfully big scones with lots of jam n cream & a great skinny hot choc with marshmallow. They had high tea on offer too.
