The wine tastings were free and the measures generous; we really enjoyed (and purchased) the sparkling wines.

We went for s Sunday lunch with 11 friends from the CBD to there by helicopter The weather was perfect and set the scene for a great day The welcome we got was amazing and the great service just flowed on all day The entrees were well presented and very tasty with great attention to detail The main meals were not big on size but of a standard that amazed all of usThe wines were all from there own vineyard or associated entities and were quality wines at a reasonable price Not one of us had any cause for complaint and we all had an amazing food experience Recommend it as a place to go for that special occasion

We visit this place as we have been planing to visit a typical Australian winery. This is the best winery in the Yarra valley area. First we tasted some wines at the testing area. After that we went to the main Bar area to drink some different wines just for the experience. That's all. It is a big place open with round views as far as to the mountains and that is. It was ok but I was not surprised.

The restaurant is a large open space that looks out across the paddocks to the ranges. We were greeted quickly and efficiently and taken to our table. Warm bread with cream cheese was served while we waited for our meals. The service was excellent and it was hard to choose from the delicious menu. Certainly not cheap but great for a special outing. We didn't visit the winery and only had a quick walk around the grounds as it was extremely hot. Nothing for small children to do.

This is a popular lunch venue, in a wonderful contemporary space. We felt lucky to be able to snaffle a table on a busy, warm, long weekend. The food and wine were good, but the views were incredible

This is one of the main wineries in the Yarra Valley region. The tasting room looked like a converted warehouse with art work on the walls. The art work, as we discovered during the tasting, were for sale with proceeds going to charity. When we arrived, it was very busy but we were quickly greeted by one of the staff who provided glasses for the tasting. You can taste the village and estate wines for free and it's a $10 fee for the reserve collection. The tasting notes in the menu were easy to read / follow. The staff that looked after us also had good knowledge and engagement. Overall we were most disappointed with the tiny pours of the wine. Particularly ones that required more portion to release the full aromas. It was hard to taste with such tiny portions. As a result, we didn't end up purchasing any of the wines. There is a nice shop at the winery and a nice area outside the tasting room.

We visited the cellar door , but ended up spending more time than expected. Apart from wine, they have gourmet food such as nuts, chocolate and tea as well. Cellar door was really busy that Sunday afternoon. You can walk around the estate. There are sculptures here and there . Nice view too.

I visited last weekend for lunch at the restaurant simply for something to do. I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious lunch provided. The dishes were well presented, came out at a decent time and good value. I would consider taking my staff there for work lunch next year. Definitely worth returning for.

The heritage garden & the modern garden both delightful. Allowed to wander through some of the old house - spectacular.

Feel lazy Yering is an easy choice. If you are going in the weekend book first. It's just a nice place to eat drink and enjoy the view, let the staff look after you. Walk some of the food off around the garden and deck before you head home. Cost a few dollars but most good food and wine does.

We visited having enjoyed a wine that came from here. We did some tasting then had a cheese platter / wine in the cafe/terrace area. Outlook was pretty but v. busy and expensive for the serve. Won't be back - head to some of the smaller wineries instead!

This a beautiful location and a fascinating place to visit, particularly when the Yarra Valley Regional Food Group hold their Farmer's Market here – that’s on the third Sunday of each month. The gardens are lovely, there’s ample parking but it would be difficult to get here on public transport. Within the grounds is a historic homestead, now a hotel – so I wander around easily, but am respectful of the hotel guests. The gardens feature interesting statues and lovely views. The Farmers Market is easy to see, with free parking and entry. It brims with spicy aromas, tasty delicacies and hot snacks made as I watch – there’s lots of samples to taste too. All the producers are knowledgeable and welcoming. It's very easy to meander around the market. A path with stalls on each side leads me to the main pavilion - The Barn – then out the other side, so I don't have to retrace my steps. There is tea, coffee, spicy sauces, gluten-free baked goods, handmade chocolates, fresh fruit and vegetables and plants. To find this market, big banners are placed along the Maroondah and Melba Highways for a few kilometres as I approach Yering Station – so it's hard to miss. These are great if anyone is around who doesn't know it's on. The market is open from 9.00am to 2.00pm, but the garden area is open most of the day.

Had to come back so I could buy more of the Chili Pleaser jelly for cheese! Bought some on a previous visit, and had to get some more!!! This is a great little winery and the staff is friendly and helpful with the wine tastings. Didn't eat this visit, but the restaurant has breath taking views and wonderful food. The grounds are beautiful to walk around with fountains and sculptures. Their is a small hotel and markets on the weekends. A must stop for the Yarra Valley!
