Thank you for the wonderful review. The Museum is so lucky to have volunteers such as Geoff who are willing to give up their own Christmas day so that others can enjoy theirs.

Our Probus group enjoyed a great ride on the tram with excellent commentary provided by the volunteer staff. We were then shown over the museum and were surprised at the amount of work that has gone into restoring the beautiful old Ballarat Trams.

We didn't get to go for a ride wrong day for us . But we went though they museum, that was great we even had a tour by a tour guide no extra charge for that . They were so helpfully nothing was a problem. Next time we are in ballarat we will go on a tram ride.

We spent about an hour here, the guys that volunteer here, are so dedicated to there craft, so much knowledge. If you are in the Botantical gardens do yourself a favour and take a peek inside the old trams.

The restored horse/electric driven trams are a credit to the museum volunteers who have managed to keep alive this important part of Ballarat/Australian History. Coupled with the opportunity to ride on a 100 year old restored tram adds to the appreciation. Only open on Weekends from 12 - 4

The kids and us all enjoyed the vintage tram ride alongside the lake opposite the Botanical gardens. The driver was absolutely amazing taking the time to explain how the tram worked to the children, he was the highlight of our day!

A fantastic experience for Ted aged 9: playing driver and conductor in the museum. A hands-on experience on the tram trip! Thanks to driver Geoff who made it a memorable day!

The museum offers a great insight into the old tramways of country victoria and to have moving museum pieces taking you around a wonderful scenic location is great fun.Plenty of picnic facilities available in the gardens .

It is a few trams in excellent condition but worth a look. The video presentation was informative and you can climb aboard the trams and get a look into life when trams were first introduced. .

It was good to see that a handful of volunteers are working hard to restore a collection of trams that have been acquired from various cities both in Victoria and beyond. The horse drawn tram was particularly interesting. It was also interesting to view the video of the trams operating and how they were being restored. Well worth a visit.

We walked around the lake and discovered the Museum, we walked around and chatter to Rodney, he was very helpful with a lot of insider knowledge. A lot to discover with pictures, trams to view and clips.
