Located in the old railway station in Northam, this small museum contains an interesting collection of memorabilia broadly associated with railways. The station itself is in quite good condition and there is an old restored steam engine with a few carriages. It costs $5 to enter and takes between 30 minutes and 1 hour to visit.

In the former railway station, this is an excellent review of the history of the Western edge of the Wheat Belt. Part of the space is given to war history - including a German perspective on the Crete campaign. As well there are the personal stories of immigrants arriving on boats from DP Camps and as war brides, told in photos and artefacts. The train is well set up to show the history of the rail. The staff here are dedicated volunteers who really know their stuff. Definitely a place to go.
