dongara activity park

Stop in on your long drive and let the kids (and kids at heat) stretch their legs. Fantastic scenery, activities, games, wildlife, and playground! Thanks to Andy (Owner) for his wonderful patience when my 7 yr old was apprehensive with some of the activities. True-blue country folk who love what they do and do it well! Great way to break up the drive and even use the toilets and grab a drink. But don't forget the turn-off (Mateson Rd) as it is right before the signpost of the Park and you could miss it. We had to turn around after driving past it. It's actually just outside of Dongara (North of the city centre, off the main hwy). Have fun!

A great afternoon spent with the family. The park has a course you follow with targets to shoot at, 11 in total. Took us about 2 hours to wander around, have a laugh and a bit of friendly competition. Good fun, would thoroughly recommend.

The family running the place were excellent. What I loved was how much of it was free and also reminiscent of my childhood, with totem tennis, quoits, and lots of animals as well. Try the puzzle with the white triangles.All the animals, from the outside parrots to the tree frogs and fish inside were all in perfect condition as well.My daughter showed and interest in the fish and before I knew it was going through the pages of info in a small booklet they had on all the fish in their tank - very educational!We played mini golf and my daughter also took a drive in their small offroad buggies. I must say she loved that part of it the most!You could also BYO meat and use their free BBQ's too.

We dropped in when heading back to Perth from Kalbarri. Had a go at the archery as was short for time. Good set up, different targets with 3D targets to aim for and not just bullseye type. The rest of the park looked great for families. Moira and Andy were very nice and good to talk to. Will drop in again on our next trip north.

We popped in for a look while we were staying in Dongara.Played croquet, mini golf plus had a go at archery.Really friendly people, we enjoyed stopping for a chat.Will be going back one day.
