Jurien Bay is a small fishing hamlet half way between Perth, Western Australia and the northern port city of Geraldton. In a car it takes about 2 hours along Indian Ocean Drive which is a very scenic route. The road hugs coastal areas and other small ocean hamlets with beautiful ocean views on occasions. Wildflowers are everywhere amongst thick undulating low scrubland (when in season). The town has amenities for commercial and recreational fishing notably a boat harbour protected from winds & swell. Nearby along the beach is a new jetty for fishing. This area is a small boardwalk/childrens play aea. A nearby cafe provides convenient seafood and other snacks. The town is small but impressive. Accommodation is everywhere but in high demand mid summer and school holidays. The area is a coastal wonderland with plenty to do for a short holiday.

Jurien Bay is a easy 2.5 hour drive from Perth, I stayed at the Caravan park for two nights, everything there you need, the fishing at the Jetty is good, squid, herring, tailor and Mullaway. In the summer the crabbing in the Marina is good, also around the jetting you can get a few crabs. Great place for the kids as the beach is clean and safe.

Pristine beach with safe wading and swimming for small children with clear views from the sun shelter of your children on the white sand and gently sloping shallows. A short walk either side of the marina brings you to ocean front beaches with white sandy beaches. Take an umbrella on busy days and if you access the beach from the town centre side the walk is minimal with the eski,towels etc.

Turquoise Coast, beautiful waters all beaches with shade facilities available, good access, walkways council prettied it up well. BBQ also in parks near jetty, we have done it again WA

Pleasant place to spend a couple of hours but nothing special.Makes you appreciate how vast the Indian Ocean is though.Perhaps the best time is at sunset - quite magnificent last night.

Clean, parking area well set out, nice view of Indian Ocean. Went aboard the boat to travel 30 minutes to the National Park island where the sea lions live.

My husband and sons (5 and 12) had a wonderful time jumping off the jetty into the ocean. A great spot for a swim, though it's a bit too rough for littlies. At night, the jetty comes alive with far too many tourist fisherman squeezed in there along the jetty, vying for the best spot. Despite this, it's fun and fish all around, with our 12 year old catching at least 12 herring in the course of the night. There's quite a good playground for kids just up behind the beach and a grassed area for picnics, etc with covered sheltered benches. It's a pleasant enough spot to visit if you're in Jurien. Probably the only spot actually, haha. A good coffee shop is just a short walk up from the jetty too!

Well, I will give it a try. We had to meet here for our Sea lion swim. It is a very nicely build and well protected harbor, that also includes a couple of protected swimming areas. The best part is that there is a free shower available, giving people the opportunity to wash up after their swims or other activities. Great parking facility with lots of space.

小さな町のボートハーバーです。きれいに整備されていますが、何かあるかと言うと残念何もないといえばそのとおりです。せっかく遠くまで来たのにちょっと残念です。野生のトドとかがみれると書いてあったような気がしましたが、海にもぐらないとみられないのかもしれません。キャンプなどでゆっくり過ごす人が多いそうですが、遠くて何もなさ過ぎなきがしないでもありません。
