This track is a great ride on a mountain bike. It is not too long , not too steep and goes through an interesting forest area that has a pioneering wood cutting /timber industry history

Great trail for all the family. Not far from Nannup. You can walk it in stages or stay at the bush camp overnight. Well worth the walk.

Riding from Barrabup Pool back into Nannup is great fun along the Timberline Trail. The single track passes through beautiful sections of the forest, and there is a serene path through a section of sheoak timber which is magnificent. The majority of the trail is downhill so you can go as hard and fast as you want to, some sections are sandy, others rocky and majority is standard trail, so there is a good variety. I wouldn't like to ride from Nannup towards Barrabup as this would be hard work. Take water with you and watch out for wildlife!

We didn't do the full 22km walk, but the two hour return journey my husband and I took along this track from Nannup towards Barrabup pool was truly peaceful and delightfully scenic and well signposted. Best bit was seeing the kangaroos and listening to the birdcalls. We also did a short 1.8km walk on the trail between Worker's Pool and Barrabup pool - about 40 minutes return. The scenery in winter afforded us vistas of bright green moss covered logs and trees in the damper darker areas and thickets of golden wattle bushes and trees further along and when we reached Barrabup pool, we were greeted by the rush of bubbling water gushing into the pool - lovely spot with picnic tables and public toilets. Access Workers Pool and Barrabup pool via Mowen Road-

Yesterday, our Nannup Cychos AustCycle group attacked the local Timberline Trail to Barrabup Pool about 12 km away. The cycle and walking route uses old forest trails, railway 'roads' and timber-getter tracks through Jarrah forest. There's enough to test recreational riders like us. Yes, it can be hard work, but it's a very enjoyable ride. Watch out for the occasional kangaroo crossing the track as you pedal along! If the trip seems too daunting then there are opportunities to just ride part of the way. Our 'terminus' was at Barrabup Pool, which is our local swimming hole and a delightful place to eat your packed lunch or even swim in summer.
