don rhodes mining museum

Less than 5 minute walk from the Port Hedland Boulevard shopping center, next to gas stations.Old grave yard (in sorts), for old mining equipment. Old lomotives (3), as well as rusty trucks, bull dozer, and much more to look at. Very interesting to check out the history of this cole ore town. Would highly recommend to take a look see especially if you like old trains, and history such as this.

It's very interesting if your into the museums. It takes you through the different machines that help create the town of Port Hedland into what it is today.

Many of the machines were incomplete, which for a big boy was disappointing. Allow ten minutes. Signage was very limited and needed to give an explanation about the item.
