This is a building close to the Araluen Cultural Centre and the Aviation Museum. On the floor you enter there is a film about the pioneering missionaries and a display of photos and artefacts. Downstairs there is a very extensive display of minerals and gemstones found around Australia, then it follows the geological progression from the Big Bang. Stories and pictures of craters and how the land used to look 800million years ago and moving onward to 345million years ago. Descriptions of the first life forms - stromatolites, etc as the geology of the land changed. Some beautifully displayed skeletons, especially the head of the 12mtr croc. Beautifully displayed birds and animals. So much to see that we came twice!
