Water was cool and very inviting! If you're not into sliding on the rocks, you can just enjoy a dip in the very refreshing water. Safe enough to laze around. Best to be there when there's not a lot of people so you can relax and enjoy the surroundings.

We went to the Sliding Rock last month, my wife and I were the only ones there for 1-2 hours, had the whole area to ourselves. Was quite romantic and the sliding rock itself is very fun. Nice spot to hang out in the pools and cool off from the hot weather. Definitely recommended.

Had lots of fun at the sliding rocks. The water was refreshing and the surroundings are beautiful. Get ready for lots of stairs but its worth the trip down to the rocks. we were the only people there the day we went and just soaked in a day of fun

Beautiful wee spot, nice clear fresh water and sliding rocks were enjoyed by the young and young at heart.

Haha, this one defeated me. Being active and mind-young I was really looking forward to this one but the day we visited it was deserted and with nobody around to show us the ropes, it was daunting. Some of the rocks slides looked very dangerous and we didn't want to jeopardise our holiday by breaking a limb. I did try a mini-slide and found it very difficult to get myself out of the 'crater' and got a few grazes for my pains. Interesting visit if you have time but not a have to in my books

We visited the sliding rocks on a rainy day which was great! The water flow looked a bit scarier than in the pics we had seen but it was so much fun actually.. There are quite a lot of stairs to get down to the river however, which wasnt great in the rain, and my calves/thighs ached the next day.. but it was totally worth it. The river is set in lush serene scenery, and we were the only ones there for most of the time.. One of my favourite places we visited.

The sliding rocks were really exhilarating to go down, and heaps of fun. There are pools of cool water holes around the slippery rocks. It's a little hard to get down near the bottom of the slippery rocks as the dry rocks around it are very steep and kind of hard to navigate. Wear longer shorts and t-shirts as it is natural and there may be a few uncomfortable stones or pebbles underneath the moss. Since it is so slippery, it is easy to lost control, especially on the steep ones, as my brother did. He got a grazed elbow but that was fine. The gardens around the stairs down were lovely.

Beautiful even if u don't go on the slides. Lots to explore, the main area, then climb down to the main slides. U can climb right down to the bottom & get some awesome photos of all the falls, rockpools, rock formations. Or climb up from main area. I'm fairly unfit with 3bulged disks in my spine & was carrying a backpack & 3yr old & I was fine so ignore all these who gets asking for escalators & maccas up top! You're in samoa, it's almost 3rd world here! Beautiful place, slides were terrifying (as I was alone there) but I still did it over & over!! Just climb it, sus it out(depth, slide path, etc) & you'll be fine. Trust nature! Maybe say a prayer first -haaaa!!

Was good to go see but the stairs on the way back up were a killer and since we had drunk all our water at the bottom, were looking forward to a bottle once we got back to the top. Very surprised no shop or bottled water facilities here.

Luckily we had GPS otherwise I imagine this may have been a little tricky to find - get directions before you go! Well worth the short drive from Apia and the 5 Tala (per person) entrance fee. The stairs down to the stream and the sliding rocks are steep but it's only a five minute walk down.At first I didn't think the pool at the bottom was deep enough to slide into but after watching a couple of locals slide down with no problems I plucked up the courage to give it a go - so much fun! Was up and down several more times after that! The pool was bigger than I thought and the rocks are so slippery that you don't feel any friction or scratches. Great for a dip on a hot day with a little added fun. Fales (huts) available at top of the stairs as well as public toilets.

Lots of stairs, not enough slide. I didn't mind though as it was only 5tala. Being 7 months pregnant, it was a bit harsh on the hips.

It's was wet, but crowded, small and not particularly safe. A big hike up the hill makes your all sweaty

Can't remember how much it costs for entry, but the small amount of tala they charge for entry to the sliding rocks area is more than worth it! It's definitely only accessible for people who are able to climb ~ 50 steep stairs. The rocks are covered in moss and you slide down them into pools of water at the bottom.Caution: This area is not patrolled and the water source is a natural stream. We did not slide until we had watched several locals do it (so we could see where they were sliding and that the water was definitely deep enough). Great fun and a beautiful scenic area.

You really need to go here when there has been a bit of rain. This was so much fun - using rocks as slides! You can really pick up speed too. Provided us with quite a bit of entertainment. Can be a little hard to find - so make sure you have a reliable map or use a taxi. Friendly people and very clean environment
