Really is not worth visiting. A small cheap copy of the big Rio de Janeiro one. Really ugly. There was a show in the restaurant that produced enough noise so if anyone cares to pray or something forget it.

This statue and memorial of Christ is located above the city. It is designed like Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro. The lighting for statue changes colors-one minute is it white color and the next moment, is red. The music that is played while watching the Christ is dramatic. There is also an area next to the statue that features buildings of different styles-Greece, Roman, etc. The view of the city is a little far off but it is very nice to visit at night. You can a good view of the various buildings of the city. After you are at the top, you can visit a souvenir shop and get a bite to eat.

Final ride to the top in the complementary Scooby Doo camper van was fun but not really needed,the statue itself interesting but not a patch on the redeemer in Rio, the views, again interesting but its the back of the city you see. I think its a must see to make your own mind up, ive seen it and im still not sure how interesting it actually is.

You don´t know whether to burst out laughing or start running to flee human imbecility when you see this. Perfectly matches the numerous statues of liberty you find all around Santa Catarina. This region deserves a kitsch award!

Beautiful view of the city from up there. A must see place in Comboriú.they should improve the bus service to there.

It's not that high, so the view from there is not that great and you have the impression you're looking at the city's back. There are some places to eat, nothing that nice too. The infraestructure there is poor

Nice view from behind of the city. But if you want to see the sea, go to Interpraias.

I visited the Cristo Luz when I was in Balneario visiting my friend and her family. It was a wonderful experience, MAKE SURE YOU BRING A CAMERA!! My friend's dad drove us up the steep hill to the entrance of the Cristo Luz! It was a thrilling drive up the mountain, we looked back and viewed the ocean, nature and buildings of the city. Once you get to the entrance, there is a Cristo Luz van that takes about 8 people at a time even further up the mountain to the very top! There are some restaurants and a stage and tables for entertainment. We ate at the pizzaria and got the "pizza portuguesa" It was delicious!!!! Then, when we went to the lookout of the Cristo Luz, the view is spectacular. We went at about 9pm, on a lovely night in early January, and I can't describe the view I saw. The view and atmosphere are surreal... the tall city buildings in Balneario with the city lights, and the luscious green mountains surrounding the ocean... Amazing place. If you are travelling to Southern Brazil, Santa Catarina speficially, I recommend you to go. Also, the entrance fee in the day is $10Real and after 7pm it is $20Real. But, well worth the money!!!Enjoy :)

Great view!!! easy access to the top of the the hill. There's a restaurant with good food and good service.

nothing to do but eating in expeeeeeensive restaurants some 3rd world c r a p !!! dont go. view is nice though.rest is just avoidable.

Una gigantesca estatua de Jesucristo que ilinada por las noches cambia de color. Fuimos en excursión desde el hotel. No se tarda mucho tiempo en llegar y una vez allí se está aproximadamente una hora, tomando fotos y tomando algo típico. Linda visita realmente.

Do alto do morro onde fica o Cristo da Luz, possui uma bela vista da cidade, onde é possível ver as praias da região e a ilha da cabra. Possui restaurantes e lojas de lembranças para levar como recordações do cristo.

Quando chegamos lá estava acontecendo uma festa de casamento no local mas nada que atrapalhasse a visita, o restaurante com música ao vivo é muito bom, o Cristo é muito belo e a iluminação é encantadora!!!

Lindo lugar, pero un poco pequeño. Se puede acceder a este lugar desde la avenida central, tomando un omnibus, éste te deja en una parada (cerro arriba) y un transfer te lleva hasta la puerta del cristo. Por todo eso cobran 13 reales (aprox. $3.000) con la bajada del omnibus incluida, que pasan cada 5 minutos. En la parada intermedia, no olviden visitar la casa de chocolate!
