Lovely beach to go when the tide is low. It forms natural swimming pools on the sea. Beautiful fishes swimming around you. Sea is warm. Lovely place to spend the afternoon.

It is a beautiful place to relax, to walk, to run or just to be. It is kids friendly mainly because of its many natural pools, lots of small fish on them. There are some bars right at the beginning that serve cold beer, water, soda and some snacks. It is also possible to get on a horse ride and go all the way to the end of this beach and to the 5th beach if you feel like.

Nice crystal warm waters for snorkeling diving there, with nice corals and a lot of sea life diversity and with friends was even more fun, I do go there very often now

My wife and I visited this beach almost every day when staying on Morro de Sao Paulo. There are stands on the beach selling food and drinks, but I would still advise taking a 1,5 litre bottle of water.The sea is amazing, there are no major waves or currents due to the reef protecting the beach. Quarta beach is long and perfect if you are looking to get a run in bare foot or with shoes if you prefer.I strongly suggest taking a hammock, there are shady spots along the beach where you can tie up the hammock, but get there early otherwise you will miss all the best spots.

The best of the 4 beaches in morro São Paulo ! Very romantic, the water is crystal clear and very warm, a lot of Nices places to relax. Enjoy the nature.

Beautiful and magical island! Easy and safe to get around. 4 different kind of beaches. Great food and shopping for souvenirs. You could easily lost your time track :) This is the place to relax. When it's raining, have some great quality wine and get some beauty treatments and massage. Great place for honey moon or romantic get away!

The 4th beach is worth the small walk over there. Experienced the warmest beach water that I have felt in years. Excellent beach that remains rather unspoled.

This is a very long beach, situated away from the village of Morro de São Paulo and, thus, a very quiet place, plenty of coconut trees, only interrupted by the existing hotels in this area. When the tide is low, the sea becomes just natural salt water pools, great for snorkelling or just for relaxing or playing with kids. At low tide times, one can take a horse-drawn cart ride (local taxies), but at high tide times this transport is not available.Sometimes the beach can be desert, but most hotels allow visitants to use their restaurants and beach services (I recomend the Patachocas Eco Resort services, very welcoming with day visitors).

If you're in Morro de Sao Paulo, chances are you're staying on 2nd or 3rd beach. 2nd beach can get very crowded, but a 25 minute walk will get you to 4th beach. A lot less people the further you walk, 1/2 price coconut waters, some great snorkeling, beautiful views, and peace and quiet!I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you truly want seclusion, but it's nice to visit. We met some guys staying here and he said that his hotel was not accessible when the tide was up so they had to take a horse taxi which was R$20. They liked the hotel, but didn't like how far they were from the action (young guys after all!).Overall: come for the day if you want to get away from the action for bit. stay here if you don't plan on going into town much and are in Morro more for relaxation.

beyond the new hubbub of Morro, it's a nice respite for a days walk. DOn't miss Guaruja - a large cove further out.

The Quarta Praia, which stands for 4th beach, is literaly, the 4th beach out of 5 at Morro de São Paulo. It is a long stretch of natural beach with very few hotels hidden by the vegetation. When it's low tide, it forms natural pools of clear warm water with small colorful fish, amongst the "recifes", areas of rock formations. Bathers go into these pools and relax, observing the beautiful blue skies and water against the white sand and green natural vegetation. However, don't leave important objects on beach - they may be stolen by bystanders.

With low tide it is great to go and watch fishes in the natural pools. With high tide the sea is perfect to play and swim with small children (as you can walk very far into the sea and still have the water coming up only to your knees). From this beach you can do a tour with a horsecar, bringing you to the 5th beach, which was a worthwhile experience! Price charged for the ride up and down is R40.

After the crowd of the previous three beaches, in Quarta Praia you can forget the rest of the world. Crystal and warm water, huge palms and three under which you can relax. During low tide is perfect for walking or riding.
