Great Museum in Santa Cruz. I would recommend taking half a day if you have it. We went twice. There is a lot in there, and the exhibits are very interesting.

I enjoyed the way the museum is structured with an excellent variety from paleontological collections to early civilizations, explanatory charts, antique machinery and equipment. It is worth a visit as words would not properly describe it.

I really didn't expect this at all! When you hear of museums in small towns they are usually a waste of time.....Not in this caseThis private museum has been excellently put together and covers Chilean and South American history from the dinosaurs right up to a fantastic exhibition of the trapped miners from the Chilean accident of 2010 (they bought all of the equipment and etc). The ticket is valid for 24 hours and if we had the time I would have returned to have a closer look at the exhibits. This museum would fair well in any major city, to find it in such a small place is astonishing. Really, really impressive! Don't miss it

Should you be in Santa Cruz this is one place not to miss. So much to see. The recent addition of the exhibiiton of how the 33 miners were saved was so well done

It´s amazing to think that such a small town like Santa Cruz could have such a rich museum. It´s definitely a must see when you are here. From pre-Colombian art, archaelogical discoveries, a carriage exhibit and a new exhibit on the 33 miners saved in 2010... It was really surprising and a great experience.

Great museum, took almost a full day to do. So much to see with an extensive collection from all time periods. 24hr pass so if you cannot see it all in one day you can return.

This museum is fantastic. It has a lot of interesting and beautiful things. It's really organized and it's pretty big, it takes time to see everything, so make sure you go there early. It has a lot about history of Chile, but history in general as well. It is really worth it!

This is a great little museum with lots to see. Though its all in Spanish there is a short introductory film in English which is worth seeing.Ticket also valid in their car museum at the Santa Cruz winery (also superb) and in a third location about 20kms away.

Rich and well-organized collection. You will learn about several historical periods of latin america. It demands time to a good visit. The tickets are valid for 24 hours.

This museum is unbelievable! Visited with family who had already been here several times.Your ticket is good for 24 hours and you really that!! A good idea is to cut it into 2 days, PM and AM.This museum has articles, machines and EVERYTHING from the beginning of recorded history to today.Special exhibits include the miners who were recently trapped for weeks. This one as well as the whole museum is very well presented. It is SO interesting and all ages will adore it.GO!!!

Take your time when visiting this museum. Great collection of the history of the continent and its people. From the recent history I was impressed by the exhibition of the mine rescue.

Excellent museum. Much larger than it appears. Displays in chronological order. Wide variety of displays and items. Well worth the visit. The only drawback, it was a hot day and most of the museum is not air conditioned.

I was not expecting much when I went to the Colchagua Museum but it was very impressive. It has artifacts from all different time periods including the pre-Colombian and pre-historic. It has artifacts from different historic events like the Pacific War and the 33 miners in 20110. It also
