To reach Ojo de Inca, board one of the micros bound for Mira flores located along Ave University. Be sure to tell driver to drop halfway once the sign board says "Ojo de Inca" on the right hand side. The hot spring is located another 20 minutes walk from the road up the picturesque mountain . Pay 10 B to the chatty guy manning the premise. He would tell you that the deepest part of the pool is 22 m, about the height of the lamppost. I supposed his intent is for me to just keep to the side of the pool and not attempt to swim across. There is only Inca toilet, meaning anyway anyhow goes. The pool is roundish 20 m by 20 m naturally formed pool. It's about 30 plus degree hot. Once I jumped into pool, I won't want to come out as outside is windy and cold even in summer. It's a great and refreshing way to spend half day soaking in the warm pool, thinking it could well be the highest natural hot spring in the world.I don't know what medicinal properties of the pool but I came out of the 1 hour session fully recharged.

Our G Adventures group opted 100% to not visit the Silver Mines much to the surprise of our CEO so we came here instead. If you've been to other hot springs this is what you imagine rather than the swimming pools you'd usually get. A real lake surrounded by awesome mountains with amazing colours through the rock. We went to the local supermarket before and got a picnic lunch and had an awesome afternoon drinking wine, eating cheese and lazing in the warm lake - a great place to visit and a great alternative to the claustrophobic mines!!

This trip takes you around 25-30km outside of Potosi. You get to a lagoon that is more or less 30 degrees Celsius warm. The lagoon is quite deep and good fun to swim in. Close by there are some hot springs that are hot enough to cook an egg in. The place also has some historical significance so get the guard to tell you a bit about the place. It's quite interesting. There is an entrance fee. We were charged Bolivianos 10.00 per adult, half of that for children.

Imagine yourself swimming in an ancient volcano, hot water andamong beautiful mountains. And it's all a city bus away from Potosí. Cheap and incredible. There's no reason NOT to go.

The Inca's Eye is definitely worth a visit if you come to Potosi. We took the minibus, which cost next to nothing and took about half an hour to get there. You will need to pay 10bob once you arrive at the Eye.The water is lovely and warm, but very deep (25 metres). We have also heard that because of the depth and heat, it can create currents which can be dangerous - we didn't notice this, but are all confident swimmers. There are ropes stretched across the surface, so use those if you need help! All in all, it's a beautiful place with lovely surroundings, I would thoroughly recommend it.

I was surprised they they charge 10 Bolivianos for taking a photo of a lake.... I understand if you are bathing...but just to take a picture?!

We took the bus that heads to Tarabaya (very crowded, but no problems and a good driver). The scenery is amazing during the 20min hike up. Lots of mountains and the opportunity to wave at llamas. The pools themselves are nice and warm and relaxing. A good way to adjust to altitude and soak the day away! There were some locals washing clothes, but otherwise it's very quiet and non-touristy.Be aware that there are no changerooms...

O cenário é lindíssimo, a água espetacularmente morna e a paz é surpreendente.
