During my time in Buenos Aires, I decided to travel 3 hours northwest to Rosario which is fairly easy by taking a bus from the Main Terminal. I wanted to see this monument that first flew the the Argentine Flag. I first noticed its existence on 10 Argentine pesos bill and did some research to find out that it was just three hours away. The monument is the best and probably the most sought after attraction in Rosario from what I observed. You can take a day trip to Rosario or you can make it an overnight trip if you are traveling from Buenos Aires. There are no open and close times for the monument and most importantly NO COST. I hope you can have to opportunity to see another side of Argentina from Rosario. Happy Travels!!!

You can also see a room where flags of other countries are exhibited. You also can see the Parana River and the whole city.Very impressive

I have been multiple times, I would recommend climbing the stairs for a terrific view of the city. This is only open during normal business hours and for a small fee.

Very impressive monument and for only a nominal fee it's well worth going to the top of the tower for the views.

This is one of the main attractions in Rosario. There is not much to see but it's worth a 20 minute visit to see the memorial and surrounding sights.

It is big National Symbol from Argentina. It is located in Rosario city beside the Parana river shore. The scenic view is gorgeous. It also has a Flag Room including all the countries in Latin America. This part has a fee to get in (not expensive).

The monument is a nice memorial to the argentinian national flag that was created here. I dont recommend to go up to the tower since the views are obstructed by the fence it has. You dont see too much

There was nothing to dislike about the monument. Very tastefully done. Highly recommended. There is a lift to the top floor for a birds eye view of the city. The eternal flame makes for good photos

This is one of the most striking monuments I have seen. At night it it glows with the colors of the Argentina flag. We toured it on a foggy day, which made it look surreal. The colonnade is massive, the sculptures are fantastic in every detail, and the "prow" of the monument gives it a moving sense of history. Make sure to walk from one end to the other.

A part from the beautiful surroundings around the monument and the best view over all of Rosario from the top of the monument it represents one of the most important things in the history of America. A true must-see and truly worth it! The museum under the Monument is also worth a visit.Visited multiple times.

Rosario in general is a gem full of history next to a large river. As most cities in Argentina it seems as the 'golden period" is past but it is beginning to shine again. Lots of fish restaurants along the river where one can taste colorful fish I never seen before.

The day was incredible, but the place is unforgettable. By the coastline, in front of a park. Monumental, elegant and deep in its messages and expressions. A place to know in Argentina, and Rosario has a lot to see.

You can´t visit Rosario without visiting this monument. The artist who designed it thought in a kind of ship pointing to the Parana river, with the "patria"( soul of the country) as a woman leading with the flag in her hand.At both sides lay the statues of the Athlantic Ocean and the Parana River, and some more tells the battles for the independence. The monument is placed where the flag was created, and under the tower is a memorial to its creator. You can get to the top of the tower and see the beautiful river, the islands and the city. There is also a long path with wide steps that take you up to the flame that honor the soldiers who died at the independence war. Under this part there is a Hall with the flags of all the American countries, and some Argentinian flags from different times and places. The monument is a place where people gathers, to celebrate futbol championships, to protest beating pans, or listen an orchestra, is not a sacred place.I want to make clear that this monument has no relation with the victims of the state terrorism of the 70´s, this was open in 1957. Is a memorial to the flag, and to its creator. You had not been in Rosario if you haven´t visit this place.
