This is a great place to go! To watch a movie or have some drinks and party with your friends at night! On cafe paradis. Is a small place but it's very cool! The music is great to dance to, the atmosphere is very chill and you have tons of fun! They have several movies playing and some of them are even hard to find in regular cinemas. You should def hang around there sometime

as Filmmaker I really connect to this place, its an old Cinema and within the building we still feel the glory of 35mm celluloid film as the greatest medium of cinema world ever. This Cinema is so Nostalgic and the cafe's is really like the set in film it self. They shows a bunch variety of Art Cinema from Europe and also some alternative american cinema. This cozy corner is no doubt very important piece of history in Aarhus.they glued the film poster in the wall and seem so banal but in art world this is also consider as the contemporary art ways to display film poster.this a worth visit for cinema lovers.

This cinema is The cinema, where there remained something from the old "cinema feeling". An oldscool building with cafe in it, which is very cosy and worth to go even if you do not want to watch a film. Nice service. The cinema has a good selection of films, basically which you cannot really watch in big multiplexes.

Øst for Paradise, or in English East of Paradise is a very lovely and cosy cinema in Aarhus. They are not like commercial movies you know in the US or other places in the DK for that matter. They show good movies and have and very different feel from other movie theaters. If you are in Aarhus for a little longer stint of time, then I would recommend you going there and watching a movie. (If you are with you girl/boyfriend then order the seats in the back, because these are two seats combined in one, which is almost like sitting in your own couch). But if you are only in Aarhus for a short period of time, then go out and experience other parts of Aarhus.All in all: Very cosy and different cinema, take you better half if you are here for a long period, but if not then go out and see other parts of Aarhus. I would not call this a top 10 thing to do or see in Aarhus.

This small cinema in the heart of Aarhus is everything a big commercial cinema is not. The staff wears their own clothing and you can have both sodas as well as coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The screening rooms are not as big as in the other cinemas in Aarhus but they are much more intimate which fits the cinema well since they don't show all the big blockbuster movies but a lot of smaller independent films as well.

My friend and I had a lovely evening at Ost for Paradis. They have a great selection of films that other cinemas in Aarhus don't show and the building is beautiful. However, the employees did not make us feel very welcome. We came early to check the place out, as it was our first time there and wanted to explore. It was so quiet there we almost thought it was closed. I guess everybody was behind doors watching films, but still, they could have some faint music playing to make people feel welcome. It was so weird to be there we went to a café until our film started. When we came back the place was filled and we had a great time.

When I think of Ost for Paradis the movie Cinema Paradiso comes to my mind. I really apreciate this small old fashion cinema for the quality and the alternative choice of movies.
