Kyustendil is a small town, close to the Macedonian and Serbian border, with a population of about 45 000 people.I visited Kyustendil on a hot September weekend. The weather was nice and the sun was burning, as usually during summer in Bulgaria. The town is relatively small and there isn’t much to do. But it has some sights which are worth visiting when being in the area.Church of St GeorgeThe chuch of St. George is a medival orthodox chuch from the 11th century. Its the oldest church of the city. Its nice to visit during a hot day as it is colder inside.Roman ThermsThe Therms are one of the most significant monuments of roman times in Bulgaria. They are the second biggest in size after those in Varna at the Black Sea. The area, which has been exhibited until now, is about 1000 sqm.Virgin Mary’s AssumptionThe church was built in 1816. It is a monument of the Bulgarian Revival Art. Its very different from other curches and very nice from the inside. There is no entrance fee.The Hisarlaka medieval fortress lying atop a hill overlooking the townThe fortress was first mentioned in the 4th century. It was in use during the first and the second Bulgarian State and was demolished by the Ottomans in the 15th century. It has the shape of a irregular polygon and is 117 m by 175 m in size on a territory of 2.12 hectares.Stroll around the main streetThe main street of Kyustendil is very nice and full with restaurants. They offer good and cheap food. But do not multiply food and if you eat frequently used this methodHow To Lose Weight fast in Kyustendilhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqrV5iSrKTo
