Good for a walk around, good food to be found everywhere. Cheap too. Could be done in a couple of days so perfect for a City break / long weekend

Our hotel is a 4 minute walk from the old town. We enter day and night via Ploce gate and wow. In March it was quiet and we managed to get amazing photos at Placa Stradun. We walked around the whole town and there are amazing restaurants, churches and bars. Restaurants are quiet at this time of the year but we did not mind, make sure you go down the side streets and up the stairs and you will find hidden restaurants.

Loved it all. If there was one thing it was all the cats about but you get used to them! The churches are fantastic and there's quite a few. A trip to Cavtat on the bus then get the water taxi back it was lovely (i get seasick but i really enjoyed it).

We had a great day there, spending about 2.5 hours on the wall just to see the whole view of dubrovnik old town and the sea surrounding the city. Beautiful, even in the rain.

A lot of the Restaurants were closed due to being out of season, and the whole place had a sleepy quality about it. But on the upside no Cruise Ships. Best time to go we were told is the end of September, when the weather is still good and most of the tourists have left for the season but everything is still open.

Wow! What a neat, neat place to stroll around. Lots of cats, medieval stone buildings, interesting nooks and crannies. Can see why people enjoy this place so much. We didn't eat in any of the restaurants and only browsed in some shops briefly, but the shopkeepers and restaurant people were very inviting and warm. Wish we had more time to stay. A place that we'd go back to though! And I loved the Game of Thrones connection. There were certain places I could almost picture having been in some King's Landing scenes. Fun!

A lovely town to visit early morning because after 9 the buses and coaches arrive ,best to walk the wall first as you do this you can find a nice place to eat ,we found a lovely place by the main gate . After lunch take a boat trip a private one is best . Top tip is the hilton hotel to stay it right by the main gate so when you had enough it 5 mins away .

The old town is amazing so many buildings packed into a small space that it appears everyone knows each other. There are many levels and these are accessed by a lot and I mean a lot of steps. Footwear needs to be comfortable. Food and alcohol a little expensive so hunt about go up the little alleys, no where appears to be out of bounds. Go out of season if possible as it would be rammed in the summer. Visit the little parks as well.

Too many people wanting you to eat in their restaurant. But was lovely to see and would have been better in decent weather

What to say?! I visited Venice and Split and Dubrovnik was my last destination on my trip, and just when I thought it could not get any better, Dubrovnik happened. I saw the pictures, read about the city, but didn't believe I would be so blown away by Dubrovnik landmarks an beauty. Would love to come back one day.
