Worth a walk to this little cottage if you are nearby. We visited in Feb and it was closed so we could not go inside but we walked around and read the information sign and peered through the windows. There is also a petting zoo a few yards away in the summer months.

I was walking to the Viking World Museum and stumbled on to this relic of life in old Iceland. I would have liked to get a look inside but had to settle with a walk around the grounds. Still, it was pretty and pleasant stroll through a beautiful piece of history

This cottage shows how Icelanders used to live until the 20th century. The cottage has been remade so it looks like it's from the 17-1800s. I would recommend to visit Stekkjarkot as it's fairly close to Viking World.
