The place is a shrine to a leader of Yugoslavia. All the gifts he had received from all over the world, as well as trophies from races held in his name can be seen here.

A beautiful throwback to the glorious era of Tito and grand Yugoslavia. The small scale and the vintage interiors together with the tiny but beautiful garden make the visit very interesting-almost touching! It is unfortunate that the nearby history museum (again great architecture) was closed and it is even more unfortunate the the closed museums seem to be the norm in Belgrade.

This is really a must when you visit Belgrade. It reminds me of the presidential libraries in the USA. A great place to learn so much about an amazing leader!

This one is legendary. In a beautiful part of Belgrade with all the nature , there is mausoleum of great president of Yugoslavia. Beside the house and tomb of Tito , there is and museum in which you can see so much intresting stuff in Yugoslav history.

Me and my friends was very curious about legendary Tito s mozoleum. The house of flowers is a lovely place but the museum parts are ordinary. It can be more informative, i think there must be more than Tito s presents or hobies when you talk about yugoslavian period.

I was born in former Yugoslavia but I was to little to remember and visit to the House of flowers took me to the times of Tito. The House itself and museum looked kind of worn down but I was still glad I came there! And the staff was also very friendly :)

No wheelchair access for the House of Flowers! I drove my butt off to push my friend up the hill just to receive a big no-no because of the multiple stairs of the garden. I entered alone, quite beautiful and serene depicting exactly the life of 'Tito' and revealing just why his people adored him.

Although a bit out of town, it is well worth a visit to get an insight into the man who held Yugoslavia together for so many years. The room that includes presents from other heads of state (mainly guns) is quite illuminating too.A good mix of accessibility done in reverential style. Well worth the trip

You want to know just how important Tito was? You will get to see his tomb that looks luxurious, a garden with many statues and trees and a museum full of gifts given to him by his foreign friends and colleagues, also the trophies from Tito's special youth races.

The mausoleum and museum is a bit of a way out of the city - there is a bus (I think 41) from the town centre, or you can take a taxi - if you do, be sure to check in advance that the driver knows where they are going - ours did not and we ended up with a massive bill! The mausoleum itself is definitely worth a visit and the Tito museum is filled with interesting stories and artefacts, pictures of Tito with various world leaders and celebrities and items of clothing, official gifts and other bits and pieces. The ethnographic museum on site is worth a quick look but not as interesting.

Very historical place. Tito was one of the best leaders of the balkans. Also you may buy good souvenirs from the museum.

This mausoleum is also called The House of Flowers as Tito and his last wife used to enjoy relaxing surrounded by flowers. They are both buried here in this light and airy building. There is also a fascinating display of gifts given to Tito during his decades long control of the country. There are various clothes and uniforms worn by him when socializing with the world celebrities of the time. The display of hundreds of relay batons in unusual. People from all over Yugoslavia created unique batons to present to Tito each year on his birthday. The whole complex is set in parklands with many statues relevant to recent history. There is also a small shop which sells memorabilia. What happened after Tito's death and the violence and breaking up of the old Yugoslavia, must make many people nostalgic for the past.Drive around the surrounding suburb of Dedinje which is the most prestigious part of Belgrade. Many embassy residences are here, along with mansions owned thy the rich and powerful. There are also once beautiful mansions left to decay when their occupants had to leave the country in a hurry. An interesting slice of history.
