This activity is slightly off the road and starts from a farm/hotel/restaurant (very handy) on a hill. Our multi-lingual guide got us kitted out and gave us a brief safety lesson along with the 'how to' practice session. We then set off into the woods, with our result cards. There are 30 'animal' targets (3D life-like mannequins, ranging from deer to ducks), with 3 different starting posts, depending on your ability. You are scored depending on how close you get to the target zone painted on the animal. We spent a few hours going through the course, but as the course winds around the main farmhouse, you are able to stop whenever you want. This was a lot of fun. As a complete novice I was even able to hit a few targets. Be warned - you only get three arrows and so keep an eye on where they land as you will be charged if you don't return everything - but it wasn't that difficult. At the end , we were able to have a drink in their lovely restaurant (plus there are lots of farm animals to keep the kids happy). This was a great way to spend an afternoon outdoors.
