After a relative low key visit to Salzburg, where the highlight was the cake and of course Mozarts Geburthaus, we met a rather interesting lady Kristina Wilks, who gave us the secret tip to visit Hanger no 7... (Along with a signed photo of her and Tom Cruise). Rather than trust our instinct to ignore this advice, we decided to drive there under cover of darkness, to see what was going on (the sign of an unopened red bull light can in the bathroom was all a bit mission impossible for my liking but you need to take some risks in life). The place is well hidden with well turned out security guards and does not look like its open to the public, but we slipped inside unseen and unnoticed.. go inside and its a fantastic building with a nice display of the red bull cars and planes. We didn't see Arnie as promised, but we did see a giant predator figure which is the next best thing. You can also buy the great Afro Coffee teas there so all in was the highlight of the Salzburg trip. thanks Kristina for the tip (though I was a bit disappointed that you weren't the secret agent I had imagined and that Hanger 7 really existed)

We had a couple of hours before we could get a rental car, so we took the bus across the the way to Hangar 7. It is walkable, but its a long walk. It is a modern wonder with all of the Red Bull planes, cars, motorcycles, etc. If you are a motorhead, it is not to be missed. It is also a great architectural space with a fantastic restaurant (reservations) and a nice bar cafe (no reservations). Even the bathrooms were amazing.

No matter if you have someone great to show you the hangar or if you alone, it's a fun place to visit, and it was even romantic for me.Great planes, Formula 1 cars, etc....

The twin hangars (one open to the public) are an architectural delight. The presentation is done with great panache and style and the collection aircraft is superb. Great bar and restaurant too. We were fortunate enough to be invited into the second hangar where the famous DC7 is kept and serviced.

I bet that everybody who will be in Salzburg gonna be one of the many visitors of this atraction and its so easy cause there arent many other places where u can see something "interesting" if u dont count lakes and mountains...Its really amazing for sure, u can see many planes, classic yellow cab, Predator whos biggest than Arnold himself, Formula F1 and many redbull things, which is awesome, but if I was fex. in some place 100km far from Salzburg, I wouldnt be next visitor of hangar now;)

Red Bull hangar 7 is well worth a visit. It's tucked just behind the airport. Lots of older planes, motorcycles, and formula 1 cars on display. The building itself has awesome architecture. It has a little restaurant and gift shop inside also. Definitely a guys place but mom really enjoyed it.

Interesting to see but I wouldn't go out of my way if I was you. It was just an office building to me with an interesting sculpture of bulls out the front.

If you are in the vicinity of Salzburg Airport then you must pop in to Hanger 7, the home of The Flying Bulls. The displays change from time to time depending what is being displayed elsewhere. This is particularly the case with the Aircraft of The Flying Bulls. These are aircraft and helicopters which are used regularly at displays etc.The exhibits are very well displayed with the opportunity to get up close. An on-site bar and very good restaurant cater for those just wanting a drink to the more hungry looking for a top quality meal.Hanger 7 is open until late in the evening and best of all, it is free to enter.

Hanger 7 was a bit of a surprise to me as I didn't think I would enjoy it half as much as I did. You can get to it by catching the number 2 bus from the main bus station and the trip takes around 15-20 mins. Facing the bus stop on the left is the road you want to take (DIY store on the corner) and it's about 5 mins walk down there. The hanger is pretty amazing to look at with a range of F1 cars, concept cars, airplanes, and lots more. All set in a glass and steel constructed aircraft hanger. The lighting is great and adds to the experience. Entrance is FREE for all. There's a top notch restaurant with rotating international chefs and a cocktail bar. If your taking someone out in Salzburg this is the place to impress them. Go at night to get the full effect. Open till 9pm weekdays and I think 10 fri/sat but not 100%.

This was a place were my children loved. There are also very nice and chic restaurants inside. The kids loved the Redbull planes that were on display.

We took public transport and the lack of signage made it difficult to find the place. We were really disappointed at the number of exhibits and the area was pretty small too. We were ready to spend on the merchandise only to discover that many were out of stocks and the range was pretty limited. We wish that it was more impressive.

Good row of aviation exhibition stuff in sparkling clean condition. Cafe served reasonable priced coffee & cakes. Taste so good !
