Charming & delightful The Afianes family are enthusiastic about their gorgeous winery & rightfully so. The vineyards are stunning :) :)

We were the only two visitors when we decided to see what this winery was about. Therefore, we had a personalised tour! We learnt so much about the history of wine making on Ikaria. The visitors area is really a small museum full of items relating to ancient wine making and to life in Ikaria. The wines are very interesting. The couple who own this winery are passionate about their wines. Do visit....it is an interesting insight into this island and it's people. If you are a wine buff, you will especially enjoy this vineyard. It is offered as part of a tour group visit, but if you have a car, I suggest you make your own way there and get the personal touch. It is free and in the summer it is open from 9 am to 2 pm.
