This place is a must for every person who want to feel how schools of 19th century were, and for those who want to meet how bars on vacation should feel! Great atmosphere, good music, and AMAZING service(free shots, happy faces, grreat coctails) from Mimis & Nena. I went there with my girlfriend one evening, and then a second, a third, ... and in the end we were visiting the bar almost everyday of our vacation!

I am visiting small islands in Greece the last 20 years and i am visiting bars for the last 25 years. Cafe Scholio is the place that i spent every night when i am visiting Koufonisi for at least 2 decades. That means something. You can find the place almost at the end of the main road, across Koufonisi Village, and if you like friendly chat, smart companionship, meet interesting people, talking about ...everything, drinking spirits (or even better cocktails) that's the place for you. Also Nena and Mimis - the owners- can be very helpful for "rookies" on the Island, they have their own interesting view for Koufonisi. It's easy to understand it if you give a look to the internal walls of Cafe Scholio...

when i go to islands,i m not interested in seeing the night life..except if i find something unique!!cafe scholio is such an example!!!when you walk into the bar,you will see what i mean!!!!its a place where you think that you are back to another era!!!the owners are so friendly and cool that they make you feel very comfortable!!!i recommend this cafe bar unreservedly!!!!

That was the bar that we liked most in Koufonissia. The hosts (nena & mimis) were very friendly, the drinks were great and the atmosphere was really special. There was also a photography exhibition and the whole concept had a genuine touch.

There is a little place, at the bottom of the village of Koufonissi, called the Schollio cafè. I was walking there, when I heard some good music, 60's and 70's rock.Then, I decided to enter and I discovered two nice peoples, Mimis and Nena.I started to know lots of things about Koufonissi and his inhabitants, about the life in the island, the things to do.I've heard the best music in the island, and we can speak about rock bands, after drinking very good shots, made by themselves. I've drunk lots of very good fruits juices (specialy with bananas).And finaly, you can eat some crepes, salted or sweeted, or have a yogurt with honey, nuts and fresh fruits.In this place, we met lots of great people, and we spend very good time.Enjoy this café!!!David a french tourist.

Great Bar, Great atmosphere, good music, lovely people on a beautiful small island. Everyone is made welcome by Mimis and Nena; Tequila! I toured many islands without going back to any, then I decided that I would pick one to return to, and Scholio played a big part in my decision; I have since returned at least 10 separate holidays. I have staggered back to my apartment more times than I can remember.

Locale piccolo e cool nella chora di Koufunissi, bellissima l'area esterna con i divanetti in muratura! Un posto dove gustare un buon caffè e ottime crêpes a prezzi contenuti. È stato il nostro appuntamento fisso del dopocena, mai troppo affollato e con un wifi gratuito che funzionava alla grande!

Piccolo e caratteristico pub sulla via principale della Chora, serve le migliori crepes del'isola e le migliori bevande, il tutto avvolto da un'atmosfera unica, artistica ed originale.Consiglio a chiunque di trascorrere serate in amicizia all'interno di questo locale.

settembre 2012. per me e Chiara lo Scholio era tappa fissa x l'aperitivo e a volte per bere qualcosa dopo cena. Simpaticissimi,disponibili i proprietari, bellissima e intima la location,e spesso a tarda ora, si incontrano meravigliosi personaggi greci e non frequentatori dell'isola da decenni con i quali scambiare 4 chiacchiere in svariate lingue....il tutto comodamente seduti sotto le stelle. Spettacolo....se siete a koufonissi che dire....andateci.prosit.
