It may be shingle and pebbles,but it is well worth it for the crystal clear water!Probably best to buy a pair of beach shoes as the pebbles can hurt your feet.

beauty of this beach was it was only 50 yrds from our hotel ( Melidron) but rather than go back for luch or drinks you can rent beds and they will serve you ( three muses) but most have this facility. However you wont lose your beds if you choose to have a break from the sun.

subbed were cheap. view was great and the waters were amazing. def one of the best beaches of the island. we will be back asap. missing it already

Loved the walk end to end ,but beach a mixture of shingle and sand ,need rubber shoes if a softie like me . Water clear and very buoyant.. Three bars just set off the beach as you walk along.

The beach is clean and very pretty.. Only advice I can give is foot wear would be a good idea.. Also you do get charged for the sun beds.. I can't say how much as we r going back this year and the price might off gone up. But for a chilled out and relaxing time is what you want then it's for you

Or you'll struggle to get into then sea and avoid the stones and rocks.The sand isn't golden except in a couple of spots, namely in front of the Metaxa Beach Bar, however the sunbeds here are more than double the average, €9 per bed ! Plus €2 extra for a cushion and €1 more for an umbrella !! Where everybody else on the beach does 2 beds and a brolly for €5 total !Each hotel on the front seems to have the "section" in front of their property but anyone can use the sunbeds although all charge even if your a guest of their hotel. If you prefer to lay inn the sand then head to the far right of the beach down the beach path from town, no beds and far less crowded even in the height of the summer !

A quiet beach with plenty of beds and umbrellas for hire, lovely water to swim and snorkel in, calm sea very relaxing twenty seconds from the hotel!

This is a terrific beach, with parking under the trees if you're early enough. There is a nudist section at one end, lovely sand, beautiful water, all by a lovely town. There are some Roman ruins nearby, which are well worth a look.

I enjoyed a day here ,we drove over from sami ,nice scenic drive.this has more going on than sami,-shops,restaurants,etc But we personally like a quiet area You will love it , lovely beach ..

Set on the fabulous Island of Kefalonia. I have been twice to this Island and would go again in a heart beat. Sea is turquoise ,sand is golden.

Hired a pedalo for only a few euros and we had great fun.We got it for an hour which was plenty of time in the lunchtime heat. Managed to see stingrays in the clear waters

There were a lot of rocks here, but the beach is still clean and OK to visit. But I prefer taxi to Kaminia beach

I liked the beach and the sea was nice, however the actual beach was very gravelly and I had to have footwear on and this still caused discomfort/pain. Very clean however.
