The Methana peninsula is a sleeping volcano surrounded by the blue of the Aegean sea and connected to the mainland of Peloponnese only by a narrow road.We always try to find places in the world where there are natural springs to have Spa vacations and incredibly in this small town there are two! One at the entrance of the village with sulphured waters and the second at the end with radioactive and a lot of spa and beautuy treatments.! Both o them are in front of two lovely pebble beaches and in summer there is a minibus that connect the hotels to the spa in order not to get tired walking under the sun after therapies. Not only, in front of the the first one there is a small beach with a stair that permits you to bath in the sulphured water mixed with the salted water of the sea (free of charge).The prices of the two Spa are very reasonable: 7 for a bath and 10 for a hydromassage.We tried also the Cleopatra hydromassage at 30€ and after we felt our legs so light and tonic that, despite the 36 degrees outside, we had the sensational feeling of walking on feathers.My wife and I were a little bit doubtful if it would be a good thing to let you know our discovery but, Tripadvisor is an ….advisor and thanks to it we went in places that someone else has reviewed .That’s why instead to keep the secret we wrote it hoping you will appreciate it but please…..leave a room for us next August!Have a look to the site and try to go once out of the beaten tourist tracks! http://www.methana.gr/index.php/en
