went on friday just gone and this was an amazing night, such good value for money, and even though it was jus me and three friends who attended due to a rainy night, we had an amazing time! such cool bars that would be hard to find alone, especially the rooftop bar, amazing staff and views of the city, and drinks all reasonably priced and large measures!! our tour guide michael was such a nice guy and became one of the crew lol, and reallly looked after us! would definitely recommend doing this to anyone! really fun end to our holiday :)

Okay so the title of my review might seem a tad dramatic; but I really can't put into words how good this was. After hearing of the antics of a tour the previous night which my friends attended (and enjoyed so much that they came along with me for a second go), I couldn't miss an opportunity to see what all the fuss was about before my time in Athens was over. Michael is such a fantastic guy, probably the most 'likeable' person any of us has ever met. He took us to a few bars that we never would have found on our own; particularly the rooftop bar (with views of the lit-up acropolis and surrounding city which made the visit worth it alone!) where we spent most of the night. There we met some incredible people, both local and other travellers, and I learnt a lot about alcohol (e.g. by trying some of the better types of tequila that usually might be kept by the locals) and have to give to give a shout out to the friendly bar tenders and others that Michael introduced us to.The 'ghost' element of the crawl came in the form of Michael telling us a couple of spooky stories, which were a lot of fun; but really the best part of the experience was meeting incredible people and getting to see a more hidden side of Athens.Such a brilliant highlight of the trip for me and Michael well and truly deserves credit for going far beyond just providing a tour, but making it one to remember. I highly recommend this tour!

We met Mike on the second day of our trip to Athens in Feb 2015 to do the Ghost Crawl - unfortunately, it was just two of us who showed up for the crawl that day (low season!) but Mike still took the time to show us a few really cool bars where we swapped ghost stories.He gave us recommendations for other bars to explore - he even gave us clues to finding the newest Speakeasy in Athens (which we eventually found). He didn't even charge us for that day since it was only the two of us.The last day of our holiday was a snowy day (apparently very rare) in Athens. We were wondering what to do that night given the weather, so we asked Mike if he would do a personalized bar crawl in Exarchia, which he very graciously agreed to do despite the snow and rain. We had a fabulous time exploring Exarchia, swapping ghost and other stories, and even bumping into his actor friend at a bar. Mike even got one bar to invent a version of the honey wine which we were craving! We felt like we had a friend in Athens, and would definitely recommend that everyone do the crawl - not only is the experience great fun, but Mike is a stand up guy. Both the crawl and the personalized tour were very well priced and we got far more than we paid for. This experience is right at the top of our list of highly recommended things to do in Athens!

Very well done. I was in Athens alone in mid-January but the tour leader did a great job of breaking the ice between groups and individuals. The bars are good, staffed by TRUE bartending professionals. Definitely a great way to see Athens into the late night! You will not be disappointed!

We had a perfect time, went to beautiful bars, had wonderful drinks and explored the city by night. Michael and Norea were amazingly nice and we met really nice people from different countries within the group. It was the perfect melting pot for an interesting night :) Would definitely go through this experience again.

This was an absolutely wonderful way to see the hidden nightlife of Athens. Moreover, my wife and I got to meet wonderful people from all over the world with whom we will continue to keep in touch with for years to come. Michael our tour guide did a wonderful job of making sure everyone got to meet everyone else and took us on a tour of winding streets in Athens which I must confess I wouldn't be able to find in the light of day. I would highly recommend this tour especially in the beginning of your trip and more importantly it's a really great way to meet people and form relationships even when far away from home, like we were. If I'm ever back in Athens, I would do this again in a heartbeat!!

I had a great time on the tour and got to meet some interesting people. We visited some great places each special in its own way: great atmosphere, intriguing drinks, good food, good view, local beer, etc. I would definitely do this again.

We had a wonderful pub crawling night with Mike! Actually, he brought us to 7 different places. We had a shot at 5 of them, and just walked in to see the other 2. One can not find those bars on his own, and they are totally worth seeing. Also, Mike's ghost stories are very interesting. Thus, Mike is someone who lived in few completely different cultures, so it's amazing experience to meet a person like he is. He is a Canadian, therefore his English is perfect :)

If you're looking for unique bars and lounges with a great guide, this crawl is for you! Mike and George toured us around various places from an eccentric bourbon bar with incredibly tasty cocktails to a Mexican restaurant with a DELICIOUS spicy cucumber margarita. They took us to the places that locals frequent and tourists can only dream to find! Mike and George were such excellent hosts who not only introduced us to these neat locations, but they were *very* knowledgeable in general about the neighborhoods and history. They were fantastic company and wonderfully laid back. It truly was like exploring a new city with long-lost friends!I highly recommend giving the shot a crawl at the beginning of your trip! Also, bring euros (cash). If you're not familiar with touring Greece, this is a general suggestion. While the fare of the crawl does include a free shot at every bar, you're going to really want to try what each place has to offer and most places don't take credit card.

What a unique night out! Michael & Norea (sp?) showed my boyfriend & I an interesting, informative & fun night! The locations had the coolest vibes & were off the beaten path! The drinks ultimately lead to the best dessert place! Michael was very intuitive & geared the tour towards us as we were the only ones that evening! By the end we had made friends! The guys who ran our crawl were fun and upbeat. We saw a wide variety of pubs, ranging from 1920's style swank to a budget friendly rooftop bar with a fabulous view of Acropolis. Mike went above and beyond with helping my husband and I map out special add ons to our trip, including where to find the best gyros.

I went on Mikes crawl on Halloween, great night for ghost stories and the hidden bars of Athens! We went to 5 bars that were off the main tourist path and were full of great drinks, music and people. Mike had a great knowledge of the city, bars and a few stories that made me sleep with the lights on. He specialized the tour at the end by dropping us off at an underground rave in an abandoned theatre. He gets 5 stars from us (Sarah, Meagan , Jazmin, Emma). And a sixth for being Canadian! Thanks Mike! yammas!!!!

This is a very recent activity that has appeared and we thought we would give it a go because of the reviews. Had a very good night out with Michael and another couple from Arizona, USA. Many of the 5 bars were ones that you would pass in the street and you got a taster/shot depending on the bar. There are many posters around the agora region advertising the event but take a note of the meeting point. Michael also has some games as well as stories so you get to know the people on the tour as well.

Thanks for coming along, HW -- it was great to have you in the group! I think you forgot one of the bars tho!!! We always make 5 stops, and guessing by the groove we had going on by the fourth, I'm thinking it's the wine bar that might have slipped your mind :) Beer bar, cocktail bar, wine bar, art bar, and tequila bar... Am happy to see your review and know the night stayed with you, even if one of the stops got knocked out by the drinks :) Travel well, valiant backpacker!!!

We were waiting for the last two members of our group after getting lost in Athens. Michael approached one of our group and asked if we were interested in hearing ghost stories while exploring bars of the Byzantine section of Athens. Next thing we knew, our group was reunited (we were waiting in the wrong plaza) and had grown by two. Frank and Eva were from Hanover and made the night even more fun. The first bar made the most delicious cocktails I ever had. Who knew bitters could actually taste good. The rest of the night was just got better as our whole group really got to know each other. The last stop had great food and great dinner. Michael shared even more of his ghost stories and also his knowledge of Athens and Greece. Go on this tour and learn while drinking.
