An old building that once was a ath for the nobility. Today you can realx in a beautiful ambience. There a several nice little intimate bathtubs where you can spend yout time with your love. The Swimmingpool on the top terrasse has a nice few over Bad Wildbad.

We have been going to this spa for ten years or more and like it a lot. However, there is one thing which could really be improved, and that's the food in the spa restaurant. We like to stay a few days, use the spa every evening, and eat in the hall: all very nice, but the food is very monotonous indeed - frozen pizzas, salads, etc. Moreover, for three days of our recent four-day stay, the dish of the day was baked potatoes... I don't think it would be hard to add in, say, soups, pasta dishes, Hawaitoast, potato salad, or even some decent sandwiches, and to make sure the dish of the day does actually change with the day. Food-wise it was much better before the Mokni era in that you could order from the restaurant of the Bad Hotel.

we came to this SPA hoping to have some hours of relaxations. Since we are not German speaking we could not find any instructions and explanations about the code of clothing (which is very important in this kind of place) and roles in this place. the workers did not show any willingness of helping us. So we needed to explore it by ourself.so the first floor (basement) is not worth a stay. all kind of size pools with different water temperature - any home jakuzi can do the job.The second floor, which was hard to find (for us) is much more better, with dry and wet Sauna, Thai room a big pool.while the best place is the open roof with the pool and sauna rooms.I do not recommend the treatments in this facility. both my wife and I ordered massages and found it very simple and amateur

came here with wife and teenage child. had no idea that basically it is for nude bathing. very off putting for my child. inside you can be in bathing suit. but upstairs you must be nude. if we had known this we would not have come. all communication is in german only. why the bad review is that we were very rudely ejected from the baths by an employee for wearing bathing suits in the nude area, for which we were not aware. so if you have family you may want to avoid this. i have nothing against people going nude, just that we were not informed. there is a bath oposite where you can be in bathing suits. very poorly handled by the staff. the baths though are very beautiful inside.

Brilliant! Our first visit and we can't wait to return. Booked in for two hours which was a mistake as we only had time to enjoy the historic baths on the ground floor. Some people wore swim suits but many didn't and everyone seemed totally relaxed regardless. The atmosphere was so calm and peaceful and just oozing with tranquility. My wife suffers from rheumatoid arthritis and said that after the spa bath she was pain free for the following 2-3 days. That was an added bonus!

Lots of nice warm water, saunas, steam, and massages. Leave your swimsuit at home and relax for 3-4 hours in quiet Bad Wildbad.

If you need relaxation (massage, sauna, warmwater) and a outstanding ambiente, then go there. It's also possible there to have lunch/dinner or a nice drink at the bar.

This was our second visit, which we enjoyed even more than the first. Any concept of people staring or being perverts is not at all realistic. This is a refreshing & relaxing aspect of German culture, which should be experienced by open minded people, who do not go there expecting anything unnatural. Not once did we feel anyone was staring at us or a single person was there for the wrong reason. For someone who used to be very shy and inhibited, I found this a liberating and indeed comfortable experience, especially as there are many areas where swimsuits are worn.

Nice area on the basement. Several pools with different water temperature. Hammam is nice but salt for body scrub is not provided. Saunas are very modern and they run "aufguss" every hour even if is pretty soft and last only 5 minutes. I reccommend it for those who likes pools, jacuzzi and any kind of water massage but not for those who like sauna and aufguss.

On three levels, the upper is modern and not very exciting. The second level has the Turkish baths and other delights, but I could not enjoy them because other users insisted on my stripping which I was reluctant to do because Germans know how to keep covered with their bathrobes but I don't fit into them. Lower level the original spa, attractive and pleasurable.

To be honest, the weather was pretty bad during our visit so this may have contributed to my overall impression. The older thermal part looks nice and has been lovingly restored, but has somehow less character than similar buildings I've seen, such as the Friedrichsbad in Baden-Baden. The newer section is good, I suppose the roof terrace is nice when it's sunny, but in the rain it's less attractive and slightly treacherous as I saw two people slip when getting in or out of the pool. The Aufguss in the Oriental sauna is very good. By all means go there when you're in the vicinity, but it's not worth a special trip.

A great mix of old and new type spas - part of the spa is very modern with outdoor pools (some covered) with excellent sunning areas. Other parts of the spa have a historical feel and seem to have been around for a century or more - just like the Roman spas of the past. Had a terrific massage and really enjoyed the different types of saunas. We will be back - only next time we will stay longer so we can enjoy all of the different baths!

Palais Thermal is in a beautiful building-- you'll spend time just admiring the architecture and tile work. As it was a warm, sunny winter day, I would have liked more outdoor space, but the pool overlooking the valley was enjoyable.

Well, as a thermal spa facility, it is solid. Not out of this world, but a solid performer. However, what did catch my eye was the several middle aged couples 'making out' is the communal spa area. There is also quite a few middle aged men on their own, leering at anything remotely female. Basically it's for middle aged perverts. Not very relaxing at all.

I travel to this region of Germany on business about once per year. I always make sure to schedule some time here. The atmosphere is relaxing, palatial and yet still affordable. The staff is polite, helpful and gracious. The time in the spa passes much too quickly. No matter how long I spend there it never seems to be enough. Swim suit is optional. On average only about 20% of the people wear a suit. So if you are an American thinking of visiting the spa be prepared and forewarned. But when in Germany, do as the Germans!
