Excellent watch and auto museum, takes one down to the history of the car in Germany.... excellently presented.But could do with more of English displays

Well worth the time.. a combination ticket allows you to visit the other nearby museums...also of interest.

This place was so cool. There were about a 110 old automobiles (with a few recent ones) in this collection. It was very interesting and since I'm a big camera buff I took about 50-60 pictures of some absolutely beautiful old automobiles...Mercedes, BMW and many names I'd never heard of. This is a must when in Schramberg.

We were in Schramberg, looking for something to do and stumbled across this car museum. It's actually three museums, all near each other, in an industrial area on the 462 highway just outside the city center. The main museum is four floors, the top one is a watch/clock museum, while the other three floors are German transportation after 1945, through about 1965. Fascinating look at post-WWII era transport (autos, bicycles, motorcycles, even motorized wheel chairs).The combination ticket allows you entry to this main museum, the car collection of Junghans, and the Diesel museum. We did the first two and were delighted. The main building is transportation of the everyday, working class. The Autosammlung Steim museum is very high end cars from 1905 through 2005, with emphasis on the pre-war years. They have several Fords from 1905 on, a Dusenberg, several US makes (with Ohio Historical licenses??), half a dozen old fire trucks (Mercedes!), and even race cars.We spent two hours here and could have easily stayed another hour. Well worth the high price of 9 Euro each for the two collections we saw.

There are 3 museums in the same area that you can access with a combi card. The museums have a wonderfull collection of clocks and more specifically old cars of all descriptions. We were amazed at all the different cars that were on show from large American Cadilacs to the most bizare German cars. Look close when you enter the musem as they have the original VW Beatle from the film series Herbie

Durch einen Tip haben wir diese grossartige Sammlung gefunden, sie besteht aus 3 Teilen und ist einzigartig. Die private Autosammlung Steim beinhaltet nie gesehene Raritaeten und Oldies, auch aus den USA in den Anfaengen der dortigen Autoindustrie, weiterhin auch modernste Fahrzeuge.Im Original Fabrikgebaeude der Junghans Fabrik konnten wir auf 5 Etagen die Anfaenge der Schwarzwaelder Uhrenindustrie und die Entwicklung mobiler Geraetschaften ab 1945 entdecken, unglaublich und ein wirkliches Stueck juengerer deutscher Geschichte rund um die Mobilitaet.Der dritte Komplex beinhaltet das Diesel Museum.Unbedingt sehenswert, man sollte 2-3 Stunden Zeit mitbringen

Musée sur 5 niveaux, agréable, pédagogique présentant de nombreuses collections et des scènes de la vie quotidienne. Plusieurs maquettes de moteurs thermique permettent de comprendre le fonctionnement.En plus nous avons eu beaucoup de chance ce week-end, l'entrée était gratuite.

Die Autosammlung Steim in Schramberg ist - vor allem für Liebhaber von Oldtimer - ein Besuch wert. Nicht unbedingt für kleine Kinder geeignet, da man nichts anfassen darf, aber für das große Kind (im Manne) ist es ein wahrgewordener Traum, wenn man soviele wunderschön restaurierte Wagen aneinandergereiht sieht.

Nous avons beaucoup appris sur la reconstruction allemande après 1945 lors de cette visite riche en infos (en allemand).Un bémol: un réveil à trotteuse en forme de croix gammée... Ou alors, il fallait en dire plus sur cette période tragique.

Ein "Muss" wenn man sich für alte Autos und Uhren interessiert. Eine tolle Sammlung, man wird in der Zeit zurück versetzt.

Die Autoausstellung ist toll und hat Fahrzeuge aller Hersteller.Die amerikanischen Schlitten haben mich besonders beeindruckt.

Ik heb me dit keer beperkt tot het ''ErfinderZeiten''-gedeelte van het museum. Hier wordt een goed idee gegeven over het ontstaan van de horloge- en klokkenindustrie in het Zwarte Woud, en de geschiedenis van het automobiel.Ook zijn er een aantal diorama's gemaakt waar het leven van alle dag in de jaren 50-60 wordt weergegeven.I.c.m. het Dieselmuseum, de collectie Steim, en het Eisenbahnmuseum Schwarzwald, dat zich allemaal op hetzelfde terrein -of loopafstand- bevindt zeker het overwegen waard.

Es gibt zwei Automuseen in Schramberg. Fünf Gehminuten voneinander entfernt. Gemeinsamer Eintritt.Wir haben zuerst das im alten Jungahns-Gebaüde besucht. Im Fokus steht Deutschland nach dem zweiten Weltkrieg. Die Autos sind vor allem Kleinwagen und Prototypen von Tüftlern. Viel Patina und sehr authentisch. Mit viel Deko aus der Zeit. Dazu helfen auch die vielen Erklärungen. Sehr sympatisch. Besichtigung dauert etwa 2-3 Stunden.Dazu hat es eine spannende Zusammenstellung aus der Entwicklung des Mofas. Sicher 100 nur Exponate dazu.Anschliessend waren wir in der Autosammlung Steim. In einem modernen Gebäude. Lebt vom WoW Effekt. Duesenbergs, Lamborghini, Maybach, Cadillac, Auburn. Etwa 100 Autos, die man sich auch früher nie leisten konnte. Meist überrestaúriert in Concours-Erhaltung. Leider kaum Erklärungen zur Geschichte der Exponate. Aber trotzdem: Wer mal Oldtimer für ein paar Millionen Euros nebeneinander sehen will steht in dieser Halle genau richtig.Kamera nicht vergessen. Wir waren etwa eine Stunde drin.

Nous nous attendions à un petit musée classique avec 80 ou 100 voitures. La réalité est toute autre, les musée 1 présente dans 2 halls modernes des véhicules d'exception présentés comme dans tout musée classique de voitures. Elles sont plutôt rares et belles.Accueil excellent! musée et sanitaires immaculés.Le musée 2 se trouve a proximité mais dans une ancienne usine. Le niveaux 5 présente l'histoire locale de l'horlogerie, même si le sujet ne vous passionne pas de prime abord vous apprendrez beaucoup des choses et vous surprendra par sa richesse.Les 4 autres niveaux présentent chacun une tranche de l'histoire automobile d'une façon originale avec une multitude de voitures dans l'ambiance de l'époque. Si vous êtes passionné prévoyez du temps! 2 heures voir une demi-journée. Des magasins des ateliers des intérieurs sont également présentés ce qui au final vous fait vivre un vrai voyage dans le temps. Des protos de Iseta, des cocc, des Fulda des véhicules spéciaux, plus plus plus... un vrai rêve.Découvert par hasard en passant dans cette ville je prévois déjà d'y retourner en famille et avec des amis pour partager ces merveilles avec eux.Merci de permettre au public de vivre tout cela! Au fait le tarif de l'entrée? un billet de cinéma..Seul regret, bien peut de voitures françaises.
