Altdahn Castle is a beautiful example of a rock castle (in German: Felsenburg). Altdahn Castle is not just build on top of a rock, but the builders of the castle have really incorporated the building with the natural rock outcrops into a fascinating hybrid structure.Definitely worth a visit!

Belas ruínas e de uma belíssima paisagem. Lugar lindo e muito interessante observar e imaginar como foi um dia... Belas fotos, pertinho da cidade e fácil acesso.As ruínas do castelo não tem taxa mas há um mini mini museu no local, q se paga uma taxa simbólica, mas vale a pena entrar. Há objetos e armaduras da época, bem legal!

Fomos a este lugar com uma amiga que vive na cidade e adoramos o lugar é bastante conservado e com uma vista incrível. Não pagamos nada para entrar apenas um valor baixinho para entrar em uma espécie de museu, algo bem pequeno, com algumas peças do lugar e uma miniatura real de como o lugar era.

Die Dahner Burgengruppe wurde zu Beginn des 13. Jhdt. errichtet. Es ist noch einiges an originaler Bausubstanz erhalten. Eine beeindruckende Besonderheit ist, wie die Burgen in die doch recht schmale Bundsandsteinklippe hineingebaut wurde. In die Landschaft bieten sich viele schöne Blicke. Da man auch vom Parkplatz aus noch etwas laufen muss ( für Gehbehinderte ist der Komplex ohnehin nicht geeignet) bietet sich einer der Wanderwege aus Dahn und Umgebung als Kombination an. Achtung: da die Gastronomie eher bescheiden ist evtl an Picknick denken!
