I coordinated through the Tourist Information Office on of their guides on the offered "Guided Historical City Walk". We were able to get an outstanding tour guide who spoke fluent English. Over the course of two hours she walked us to the important points of ancient, historical and modern interest. She focused on Frederick Barbarossa and his lasting impact on the city. The guide quickly recognized various interests, backgrounds and knowledge in our group and was able to tie it into the tour. Making our understanding much richer. Through the tour we stopped at the Count Palatinate Hall through the old town, to the Theodor-Zink-Museum and then to the Collegiate Church. The tour lasted about 2.5 hours an hour longer than anticipated and advertised, owing more to the enthusiasm of the tour guided. We did this tour in December on a late rainy Saturday afternoon, so the town was crowded due to the holidays, so it was difficult to take pictures. I would recommend the tour more in the spring or summer time.
