I can't say that I've ever seen a waterfall in the middle of a town before! Quite special and very pretty.

We love to drive to Saarburg on a sunny day. It's nice to sit in one of the many restaurants along the river and the waterfall and just enjoy life!

Beautiful waterfall in a quaint and quirky city! The noise made me fall asleep very quickly. In the middle of the city center.

It is a bit difficult to find the heart of the oldtown as it is hidden on a small side street. A cascade of water flows down the middle of the section with a large waterfall and an old mill surrounded by ancient half-timbered houses and a church. There are two footbridges that cross the stream providing some great views. Certainly worth seeing.

After getting some wrong directions from the tourist info place! we finally found the waterfall. We could have walked to it from where she gave us the directions. However, it was much better than we expected when we found it. It is a dam, but the dam empties into a stone gorge below and there are still waterwheels turning below. Lots of shops around and the Christmas market was just setting up. It would be lots of fun in warm weather, but still great in the winter, worth a visit

Saarburg is a charming little town named after the passing river. The main attraction in town is the artificial waterfall created by the differences in height between the top of the city to the bottom. The waterfall is surrounded by an attractive promenade full of restaurants and cafes, and over it stands the city's main church. The lower part of the city with ancient medieval buildings, some of them are seen from the bridge on the waterfall, should be visited as well.

Be sure not to miss it. \having stumbled upon Saarburg by chance, the waterfalls are fantastic to see by day or by night, the night time is really romantic.

The Trier hotel we were staying at recommended a visit to the waterfall at Saarburg, otherwise we would never have heard of it. And there it was, a stream or rivulet running through the delightful town of Saarburg, with its very own waterfall. And the clever residents had made sure that the banks of the stream which overlooked the waterfall were populated with restaurants with outdoor seating. So the late Sunday afternoon we spent there, with a drink and something to snack, by a table in the sun, was just perfect. But we were lucky, I suppose. The weather was fine, there were plenty of people about on a Sunday afternoon, but I could easily see conditions in which there was no way you would want to spend any time there. But when the conditions are right, it’s a very pleasant place.

Saarburg is a small and very picturesque town, and the waterfall right in the town centre is the best part. Its surrounded by pedestrian streets with street cafes. Really pretty.

The 'Little Venice' area of Saarburg with its Waterfall, Mill and Kaffee Kultur, is a lovely spot to chill out with an ice cream or a schnitzel, Important to take your phone, because you will want to make this spot the background photo on your phone

We stayed in the campsite on top of the hill. The old town of Saarburg took me by surprise. Lovely place with a small piazza of cafes and restaurants around the Brook and the waterfall. Spectacular and surprising. Make sure you look at the mills and the houses of the old town.

Wonderful cafes and shops line the town center where the waterfall is. Worth a day trip. Charming and relaxing place to enjoy some gelato or a meal.

In September there was plenty of water and the fall was quite spectacular. Three waterwheels were merrily spinning in consequence. Plenty of nice restaurants adjacent.
