We only had a day in Dresden and I'm so pleased we saw this during our time here.Amazing that this was not destroyed during the carpet bombings in the war. It looks great from far away and even more amazing close up. So much work has gone into it........ 23 thousand tiny tiles to be exact!!Take your time walking the 100 metres along the mural, absolutely stunning....................

At first you see this mural, also known as the Furstenzug, and you think "nice". Then you learn that the mural consists out of 23,000 Meissen porcelain painted tiles and you're thoroughly impressed. Luckily, this piece of art was saved during the war.

While walking around old downtown Dresden, we ran across a wall with a huge mural. The size alone is impressing! Then later when we found out what it depicted….The long lineage of rulers of Saxony, it really surprises you! We also found out later it was the largest ever constructed! It still amazes me, the town was turned to rubble and overtime, the industrious Germans rebuilt everything back to its former glory! Wonderful city!

It is a huge piece of art, over 100 meters long (300+ ft).Worth seeing. You can walk by it during the day on your own, or as part of an organized tour.

Porcelain picture of 24000 tiles (102mX10m) depicts all rulers of Saxonia, all of them ride horses. During the Second World War it was not damaged. My mother has noticed this wall the first among our group and tried to attract my attention - and when our guide told us a story of porcelain tiles - really amazing! We were told that when the sun shines, it is incredible view!

As processional entries go, this one has to be in the top ten. Overwhelming would be the word that leaps to mind walking down this processional. The story of kings in mural fashion done so well that it takes your attention away from all the tourist kiosks lining the passage. As I noticed the mural, which I didn't at first glance but as I took it all in, the only word that came to mind was "wow"! Beautifully restored. It's phenomenal, and probably one of the better reasons for wandering around old town Dresden.

A long wall with historical paintings from one stretch to another. A brilliant piece of art. I didn't notice it until 10-15 steps walking on its side. It is located at the Castle Walls, facing the river.

I walked right past it on the first occasion!....yes I know, almost an impossible thing to do,but, on the way back when the sun came out there it is. Quite a splendid work of art, make sure that at some point you detour or even better take a guided walking tour.it is well worth it.

This is a fantastic artistic account of the ruling monarchs in Dresden. Incredibly detailed stretching across a long walk in an alleyway it is certainly a fantastic surprise to stumble across while taking in the sights of Dresden.

I loved the whole concept and the artwork that represents a great story and history. Artistically it is a sight to watch and pretty impressive too. I loved walking through these streets and looking at the work as well as taking in the surrounding. It definitely a must visit placed while in Dresden.

It is nice and interesting to stroll along the street and study the porceling art work on the wall. To look at the royals' clothes, the weapons, the horses...etc at ease. Fun, and relaxed. I enjoy it a lot.

I actually stumbled upon the Procession of Princes by accident. It is a pretty awesome piece of artwork to stroll along a passage way and glance at the different representations by year as you walk along it. It's definitely something to see, and a must see if you are in Dresden. A perfect opportunity to look at a great work of art on the way to your next destination. It was one of my favorite sites in Dresden. See it! Safe travels!
