rocca roveresca di senigallia

We had a confernce reception inside the Rocca Roveresca recently on September 2014. A nice place for this purpose. The building is still well maintained.

Senigallia city centre is really peculiar, however people do not expect to find a fortress in the middle of it. The castle is really well- preserved and people can visit it, at least the open areas. The view from the towers is nice too and oversees the adiacent piazza. Firthermore the area around is full of nice bars and restaurants; very enjoyable atmosphere.

First a blurb about the town with beautiful avenues to walk along and with a wide beach. Senigallia is the most interesting tourist strip in coastal Marches. Its attraction as a beach resort is underlined by a slogan "the velvet beach". A lot of its sister towns are merely interesting in 'passing one'. But back to our visit,and the reason why people flock here is the the very fine sand on its beaches. there are good hotels, characterised by professionality and bon-ton. We started our tour from the Rocca Roveresca,1480,a square shaped building with four imposing cylindrical towers on its corners. Inside we delved into the charming communication trenches and dungeons and a very interesting exhibition of contemporary art,which is good relief from the Renaissance seriousness. In Piazza del Duca,we loitered while enjoying Fountain of the lions,almost in ruin and the attractive Palazzetto Baviera containing some splendid stuccoes. From Nenni street there is a lovely neo-classic arcade and the Town hall,from which to explore the Muzio Oddi,the tower with the clock and the barrel-vault on the right side of the building,a lovely Fountain of Neptune,the symbol of the town. I was not aware,that this town was the birth place of Pope Pio IX,but soon realised the stamp of his presence in the museum and sacred art Gallery. I love works by Barocci and Palma il Giovane. At this point one has to pay homage to the churches that abound but our interest was skewered towards the surrounding hills with its charming agricultural life

Very easy to find! I loved walking around the town and to find this around the corner it was awesome! So beautiful and peaceful. .i went back again at night time and it was still a live.. a lot of people still out enjoying the downtown.

This is a wonderfully restored/preserved fortress. The free audio guides are very helpful and assisted us to place this fortess in the context that led to its being built. We felt as though we were walking through time.

It is an unexpected attraction just in fron of the train station. Often found a street market in the garden

Ho visitato questa maestosa struttura quattro giorni fa. Ne sono rimasta a dir poco incantata dalla storia che trapela in ogni singola stanza, ogni corridoio, ogni scalinata, dal paesaggio. Complimenti al comune di Senigallia per come mantiene la struttura e poi, anche il prezzo del biglietto è alla portata di tutti (2€ a persona). Veramente stupenda....

Gli esterni sono mantenuti benissimo, la vista dai torrioni, mancano un po di arredi e di atmosfera medievale per renderla ancor più attraente

Lo stato di conservazione di questa rocca (originariamente romana) è notevole. Ci siamo stati in occasione del summer jamboree e vederla "utilizzata" e piena di gente è un piacere. All'interno non c'è granchè ma l'area esterna, adibita a mercatino vintage durante il festival è sicuramente da vedere.

La rocca ha tanti segreti da svelare. Ci si passeggia volentieri, anche il panorama è bello. Spesso ci sono delle mostre molto interessanti. Senigallia non è solo mare anzi la parte architettonica è bella .. da non perdere

Solitamente osservata dall'esterno durante il maggior evento estivo che ospita la città ho colto l'occasione dei musei aperti per visitare questa interessantissima rocca..Il piano inferiore è il più interessante, da veramente la sensazione di dove ci si trovi..Bella anche la veduta dalla sommità delle stessa..A livello di opere mobili non si ha nulla, ma vale decisamente la visita l'architettura e la struttura in se..

La struttura è tenuta in ordine e in buono stato. Purtroppo devo ammettere che visitandola non si ha la sensazione di dove si sta passeggiando, dato che vengono ospitate mostre dai connotati storici completamente differenti.Credo che il comune potrebbe fare molto di più aggingendo magari qualche arredo dell'epoca, illustrando la storia della rocca e le sue funzionalità per la famiglia Della Rovere. Vi sono inoltre diverse stanze munite di schermi inutilizzati: Senigallia è una città viva piena di giovani, credo sarebbe opportuno realizzare dei documentari storici che narrino la vita di questa struttura anche per avvicinare alla cultura i più piccoli!

Bellissima rocca di epoca rinascimentale a due passi dal mare. La rocca ospita oltre ai ritrovamenti archeologici mostre periodiche . La visita è libera, è un ottima alternativa al mare

Bella la Rocca Roverasca, cerniera di giunzione tra la città vecchia e il mare, ottimamente conservata, ricca di memorie e di stile. E di scale.... Merita una visita, anche solo per raggiungere il camminamento esterno sugli antichi, e ben restaurati, torrioni, che affacciano sulla piazza con fontana, antistante l'ingresso.

Ha una grande storia, sia per i signori che l'abitavano e poi passata a monumento. Raccontare la sua storia sarebbe troppo lungo. Da visitare. Durante il periodo estivo ospita diverse mostre e convegni nella sala grande. E' da scoprire.
