little isolated place, very few people, breathtaking views, great slopes red, blackit's a pity that the upper part (top) was closed due to avalanches

good slopes, good choice for every level of difficulty. Bit limited in number of slopes, much behind Val Gardena / Sella Ronda, but much more picturesque and charming.

You catch a gondola to the Faloria area which is really good. Having spent most of the week on the Socropes area, this made a welcome change. Some very decent reds and blacks (which are mostly red - but great for decent intermediates to build up confidence). All the runs are nice and wide and the snow is really great because this is high. The views from up here are truly amazing. Not an area for beginners, but great for everybody else.

Black slopes are mostly red in realty, but the overall impression from the slopes is quite good!Good big restaurant with a nice terrace (free sun chairs is a bonus).

One of the best via ferrata starts from this lift. Sci club 18 is by no means the longest but definitely one of the best routes in the area. A real climber's route as opposed to a mountaineer's route. Start from the Middle cable car station and follow signs to the start of the cable. The line takes you up the cliff along the cable car route which gives an extra air of exposure. Very cool. Great views. Good rifugio for a coffee at the top.

Great slopes and a nice restaurant on the top of the field with amazing views over the valley and the Dolomiti...

Mostly red runs (medium level of difficulty), but well maintained and with amazing views of mountains and valleys.

I will remember all the vacation, snow was fantastic, food and wine number onethe mountains and the view were incredible, cortina city center crazy but with a lot of good restaurant. Cortina is the top!

Amazing skiing. 33 euros for half day ski pass; ticket attendant not the most helpful (a little help, please, I'm new here!) Good lifts, no lines, well groomed slopes, snow-blowing machines. All-around a great place and convenient to town.
FincaMiro
Lots of variety for intermediate skiers, a couple of black but mostly red and a few blue runs make for variation and options for sunny or shades slopes throughout the day. Good food in Faloria for lunch and Internet access

I disliked the long queues at the lift, and the amount of people at the slopes. Only Faloria, but I assume that it will be really nice with snow
Alshai
Excellent ski area, good service, a lot of slops, cable cars and very friendly atmosphere. Many hotels, restaurants, bars, and very beautiful city. Short drive to Venice and Verona makes Cortina my preferred ski region..

Tofana is the main ski area of Cortina but do spend a day over on this side. Head to Cristallo and the Mietres lift first thing as the snow goes off by midday. The run off here is steep and fun. Faloria offers lots of long treelined runs. Huts on the hill are a bit patchy and the navigation is a bit unclear but it's a good spot that just isn't crowded.Bash out the ski miles!!

Brilliant views of the Dolomites. Cable car up from right in Cortina d"Ampezzo, and plenty of walking trails in summer.

Loved the skiing and the Italian Alps. The resort seems more massive than Austrian Alps in Innsbruck area, but both are varied and wonderful. Prices much more reasonable than skiing in Colorado (Not Park City necessarily)
