Very impressive woodwork and art, certainly worth a look but we found we were done after 20 minutes which is a little disappointing for the €10 entry fee each

Very interesting and well worth a look at the artistry of Tintoretto, the audio guide is useful if a little confused.

All of the paintings are beautiful. It took 30+ years, but I understand. I owe my art teachers an apology.

A must. When in Venice more then 2 days. Visit San Roco lay on your back in the church with a mirror an admire the paintings.

Scuola di San Rocco is one of the most exquisite museum in Venice. The collection they have is remarkable it is a must whilke you are in Venice you can reach it from accademia or a traghetto to the Frari church

One of the best museums/exhibits during my recent one month Italy visit. I consider this is a 'must see' for anybody, especially for arts lovers. Unfortunately, they do not all ow photography. As a photographer myself, it was a disappointment. They do sell very nicely done but at a reasonable prices books. Highly recommended.

This building is everything that has been written about it. To avoid neck strain take a resonable sized mirror for viewing the ceiling. There are some mirrors available on site but these are in great demand. Building not easy to find given the plain outside but a good street map will help.

The finest cycle of works by the Venetian 16th century artist, Tintoretto. You can combine your visit with the magnificent Farr church next door.

If you listen to the audio guide you hear why the second floor of this building is referred to as Tintoretto's Sistine Chapel. It is simply magnificent - all done by Tintoretto. I was not expecting the glory and glorious art I found at the Scuola of St. Rocco. What a treasure! On the first floor we are treated to 7 or 8 of Tintoretto's paintings concerning the life of the Virgin Mary. From a very first painting to one just before his death. I recommend you get the audio guide. It provides you with important data to make your visit enjoyable without overwhelming you meaningless data.I needed 2 hours ...some could do in an hour or less...depends on how much time you want to spend with these masterworks.Audio guide is about 2.50 euros...entry fee applies....relatively easy to find. Go mid-afternoon to end afternoon to avoid crowds. No photos permitted - please observe.

The whole building is given over to Tintoretto and it is a wonderful experience. Sitting upstairs in front of his huge Crucifixion is very special: it's a magical work.

I saw great reviews of this place on my tripadvisor app last month and knew I had to go. I was with my mother (who adores Venice and has been here many times), and even she hadn't heard of it. The downstairs is nothing spectacular, but once you like 2 staircases you enter one of the most stunning rooms in Europe. It's an assault on your eyes. The woodwork, painting and gilding is sumptuous. Thank goodness it's slightly off the tourist's beaten track - there were only 4 others when we visited. I highly recommend it. A real shame you can't take photos though, but to be honest they wouldn't do it justice.

We first came across this Scuola Grande the first time we came to Venice many years ago and return each time we come. The paintings and carvings are monumentally impressive. We love discovering something new in the art each time we come. It is truly humbling to witness the magnificence of this art. If I could only visit one place when coming to Venice it would be here!Within the 10 euro ticket price is the use of audio devices with explanations, a paper booklet and visit to the Church of Saint Roche next door. I consider this good value for money. Venice isn't a budget place to visit but it is a world heritage site.

It is breathtaking when you walk up the stairs . I would recommend this if you are an art lover , It is dark and spiritual. I could transport myself back in time and I sat and gazed at the the work in exuberance.....bravo!
